/petpassive
/petfollow
Use these commands in your summoning macro
Zexion wrote:Autocast is still off, but can be clicked manually (after the triggering the autocast, its working nicely. casts waterbolts just like it should)
/petautocaston Waterbolt
This would be the answer, but the command is broken and doesn't work at all.
And the autocast isn't working as it should since the elemental isn't stationary when casting, but running around like a muppet. It's better, but not good. What's strange is that the elemental follows the same behavior with both autocast on and off, the only difference being when it reaches its target. If it has autocast on it'll continue to cast bolts, if not it'll melee. But until then it'll cast a bolt, move 5-10 yards towards the target, cast another bolt, move again and repeat until it's within melee range.

I have 2 macros. First is to summon it and afterwards set it to passive, follow and trigger autocast.
Second one is to cast the elementals freeze, which is very very important for frost mages.
But... They dont work after this "fix". The first one set the elemental to follow and to puts it on passive, but the part that triggers autocast on and the macro to cast pet nova (freeze) doesnt work... they do nothing. Its way too game breaking for frost mages since our strength is to kite and elemental is invaluable for that matter.
Since the autocast is still broken you'll still have to cast bolts manually, so nothing much has changed here. But the /petautocaston
Spellname command is indeed broken.
When it comes to the freeze there are ways around that. The /cast Freeze (or any other pet ability it seems) command have stopped working since the fix went live. But the /click PetActionButtonX command works just fine. I switched my command line from...
/cast !Freeze
to
/click PetActionButton5
(where my elemental's freeze is bound to Secondary Action Button 5)
Works like a charm.

After summon: Follows the caster, be set on passive (not sure about this one but it probably should be that way), has autocast on waterbolt activated and ofcourse macros to control his spells should work.
It does follow you when it's summoned. The problem lies in that it's summoned in aggressive mode, so if summoned in combat it'll go after a target as soon as it's up.
It should be summoned with the last known pet action-bar configuration, but this is a problem that was present before the so called fix.
As for the macros, the only one that has really taken a hit so far is /petautocaston, which is a pain if pet autocasting gets fixed. Most other commands still work, and if not there's always some way around the problem.
I'm still testing the pet whenever I have the time on my hands, so there might be some points that I've missed and some that I've gotten wrong. I'll keep you guys posted on whatever I find.
