Idk about Crisis Core. I have played FFVI and I do know that it had the most playable characters. That is pretty dang awesome...

IMO I like FF VII a great deal. Probably sounds like I am just going with the flow but it was one of the first RPGs I played and never have found another game with such a great storyline and depth. Even Crisis Core for the PSP was amazing. Kingdom Hearts Series is my all time favorite RPG series because the way they created it and it seems geeky and childish but if you play it...it doesn't feel that way at all.

ff7 is overrated

That's is your opinion, i dont think its overrated, because unlike many of the new games, this one has very well-written and good storyline wich i think is must for a game to be good, also this game takes time, ALOT of time and i love it. i still play it. i recently started all over because dislike the names i had give the chars( was 12 when i got it).
I have only tryed FF7, 8, 10 and 12 (i think it was 12) and i must say that 12 was so disappointing that i quitted playing after 10 mins, the new combat system was just ......well wrong, to me FF games is turn based. 10 also had a good story, but its to easy. FF8 was decent. the
