Just started playing on Smolderforge for the first time in a while and I'm extremely dissapointed with the direction of this server. As someone who helped Exsurgo go through every ability on the server and test it to ensure it conformed to retail like values in 2.4.3 my question is what the heck happened?

+Libram/Idol swapping is gone? Who ever thought that was a good idea. It seems I can't switch libram's now and have to wait to get out of combat? Thats not retail like, so what is it doing in Smolderforge?

+Weapon swapping gone to? The question is why? Punishes every class except rogues. Inconsistent with the sate of the game in 2.4.3.

+Spell dmg/healing removed from items that historically had it back on live. Like trinkets/necklaces etc.

+I also noticed that they removed alot of sunwell gear like the tier 6.0 offpieces not to metnion crafed recipes, yet legendary weapons are still in the game? So having a legendary sunwell bow is ok, but if you're trying to play a paladin, and get the pve gear, that every high rated paladin on live required to be viable - suddenly you're no longer allowed to?

It seems whoever has been calling the shots, has been taking the game away from what it was like historically, - and i'm not ok with that. Aside from the new features, which i welcome, I'm just disappointed that any pretense of this server emultaing retail like values has been abandoned.

Switching items before the spell gone ofc since it was just a bug. You still can switch it right after spell cast tho. Spell damage never affected trinket procs / enchants on retail in tbc, stop lying pls. Sunwell gear deleted, except t6 boots and sunwell weapons. Feel free to report bugs on the Bug Tracker if you feel that something bugged, but get ready that you'll have to prove your point.

"Switching items before the spell gone ofc since it was just a bug."

It was just a bug? No it wasn;t. That was a core part of World of Warcraft.

"You still can switch it right after spell cast tho."

What good is that for libram/idol swaping? You can't make predictive macros.

"stop lying pls."

Accusing people of lying without evidence is a good way to make your point.

" Sunwell gear deleted, except t6 boots and sunwell weapons."

So many things wrong with this erroneous statement. Where to start. So the tier 6 boots from SWP remain in the game. But the gloves and bracers are deleted. The weapons remain also. The rings from SWP recipes are deleted. So could I ask who is deciding which gear they want to keep in the game and which they delete. Since there is no logical explanation why certain gear has been deleted other than the developer is acting arbitrarily and deciding he knows better than the hundreds of Blizzard developers and is going to try to "fix" the issues with late game gear scaling and yet leaves the legendary SWP bow intact? There is no logic in selectively deleting items without explanation.

"Feel free to report bugs on the Bug Tracker."

Yea sure. There are a few things I would like to ask. Why is it that pet path finding has been completely ruined in the last 12 months? Why do pets teleport on the bridge in Blade's Edge arena? This was fixed over a year ago and now it's back. Also why can pets run through walls again? This was also fixed several years ago and has once again been ruined. Why does Fel domination, ONCE AGAIN disappear whenever a Warlock has been subject to crowd control/interrupt effects. THIS WAS FIXED long ago and now is back once more. Oh right and another bug I found almost immediately after returning. Once again Paladins can cast Blessing of protection whilst crowd controlled. Guess what, this was also fixed years ago! And yet to my suprise yet another obvious as hell gamebreaking bug is back thanks to incompetent
developers.

"Spell damage never affected trinket procs / enchants on retail in tbc."

WRONG. Some trinkets did scale with spell healing on live. And you know how I know that? Because I actually have recorded footage of such occurences.

Welcome back.

Swapping etc
I'm not really that well informed and I don't have that big of a knowledge about how tbc exactly were in retail when it was new. And I o remember our old (infamous) ex-developer @Itslovelol making this change. And he only changed something if he got proof & I'm pretty sure that he got old tbc videos as proof as well as information written down on different websites.

swp
This was something we changed because of the community(you guys), were complaining a lot about the gear making some classes overpowered and making the PVP unbalanced. They basically made some classes make too much damage, stacking haste or what not. Like elemental shamans & druids, they were just too "good", and full-geared SWP PVE warlocks doing 7-9k crits in Battlegrounds.
So basically we removed those items(though not removing thori'dal might have
been an mistake).

Removing stats?
Maybe I don't understand what you're saying here but we can'tremove stats from in-game items. Our items are from the 2.4.3 database, so they shouldn't be any different from other 2.4.3 servers. I know they are totally different in World Of Warcraft(wod) retail, but on Smolderforge, they're still the same.

And as mentioned in previous comments, if you know that something is messed up? Send us proof and we will get right to it!

you're new to wow? or maybe you played on private servers too much? pls go cry together with evolve about this bug. none cares about paladins / ferals "predictive macros", even if it was possible on retail - it was simple exploit and wasn't intended.

pets are broken for like 2 month already, people who can fix it are quite busy nowadays.

I'm not talking about weapon switching. You said siwtching 'items.' Just incase you need reminded...
Paniz wrote:Switching items before the spell gone ofc since it was just a bug.
Libram/idol swaping did not trigger the global cooldown. It was a core part of playing a Paladin/Druid throughout tbc up until wotlk when it was changed and then eventually phased out. It was often times refered to as libram/idol switching.

There are countless others. Idol/Libram switching was changed in 2.4.3, but that was prior to the content patch, and was in preparation for the changes to librams/idols as part of wotlk.
