Stats in Percentages
Re: Stats in Percentages
This change went in months ago, and I said then that I would take the community's consideration into a decision whether or not to remove it. It seems there is still a lot of backlash on this "fix" so I will consider removing this.
Maybe I should conduct another in-game poll on this issue as well as with relic GCD.

Re: Stats in Percentages
I don't know why a poll is really needed regarding this.
The argument provided in this thread is flawless, it's undeniable.
In retail 2.4.3 - people had the choice to configure their health bars with addons and within the options of the original World of Warcraft interface.
People had the choice wether to have their health and other bars present with exact, accurate numbers or percentages.
It should be that way. It's not our fault that Blizzard fucked WoW so much that they needed to revert to percentages because of 12837187318K HP in future expansions?
Ask yourself this, what's better?
1) Have a poll and satisfy the bigger half of the players with either removing or keeping the feature.
2) Remove the feature and have everyone satisfied, considering that the people that want the feature, can enable it themselves, game, not server side with a single tick in the interface menu.

It really doesn't matter. Just play the game.
This is the most CUSTOM server I have ever played on.. so please... there is almost nothing blizzlike.

Re: Stats in Percentages
This change is not a big deal, but before implent it be sure it works 100% as intended and doesn't bring any bugs too the server.Henhouse wrote:This change went in months ago, and I said then that I would take the community's consideration into a decision whether or not to remove it. You must have not played very many private servers at all then.Evolve wrote:This is the most CUSTOM server I have ever played on.. so please... there is almost nothing blizzlike.
A "custom" server is usually defined as one that goes beyond the level of what was "real" in WoW meaning, custom items, custom levels, spells on different classes, etc. Literally "customizing" the game outside what was WoW. Being non-blizzlike can refer to yes, custom servers, faster leveling servers, arena-focused servers, funserver, etc. We're not really "custom" in that regard. We have features that were not a part of TBC, yes, to keep the game interesting and new, but it's not going outside of what was possible in the sense of gameplay. There is no custom gear, no modified gear, etc. We sick to how the game should have worked, while offering the instant 70 ability to play the game at the maximum level.

Re: Stats in Percentages
Keep the server fun. For those few people still playing here, besides it's a funserver. The word already says it i guess.
To the topic, the health displaying bug is actually pretty annoying and happens now and then. (For example: Someone's on 20% and is shown as full hp to everyone else)
Totally annoying, just revert it and everyone will be happy again.
Best Regards.

Re: Stats in Percentages
This is blizzike, there are addons that you can use to display enemy health in numeric values.
Having addons from TBC work properly is more important, and they do that with the percentage.

Re: Stats in Percentages
Fixed that. If I recall this whole silly thing exists because this guy was mad his proximo didn't work, despite literally everybody else in TBC using Gladdy.Lelol wrote:This is blizzike, there are addons that you can use to display enemy health in numeric values.
Having one addon from TBC (that I use because I'm ridiculously outdated) work properly is more important, and it does that with the percentage.

I'm not even going to read all this, it should be clear as a day that should not happen, I'm still wondering how come this was implemented, like what did you think of while updating this, what it helps and what is it for?
