Good luck on repeating more blizzard errors. I will no longer disturb you about that, this was final proof that, sadly, Smolderforge policy became completely braindamaged."I will not revert it because im fking moron"

Nice to see (again) that staff dont really give a fuck about what players wishes and opinions are.
Re: % Health: The most retarded thing
Not true. I'm reading and taking into consideration everyone's replies. I've been very curious on people's opinions on the change, and the pros and cons. Personally, I liked this "fix" and thought it was an interesting change, but I can see many others are opposed to it. I often do not reply to threads as I like to see a discussion unfold without my interruption or opinions.Pendulumm wrote:Nice to see (again) that staff dont really give a fuck about what players wishes and opinions are.
I wish there was some middle ground for these options. Does anyone know if addons that function with % work when you toggle on the "Display Percentages" option in the interface?
I may be busy throughout the year but the community's opinions have, and will always be my driving motivating force for change on Smolderforge. Change comes slow here often because the community can often be on polar opposite views, or the time/technology is simply not present for a change at a given moment. Slow progress is often good to allow time to ease into rather than fast, hasty changes such as many of the ones in the past year that we've done and upset people over.

Exactly how I feel but I'm stupid and cba to type enough to answer so well.Cube wrote:A nice change to complement this would be to remove the transmogrification system. It's neither blizz-like, nor does it complement the percentual hp display.
Jokes aside, I really don't see the reasoning behind this change. I'm not saying it's good, nor am I saying it's bad. Personally, I wouldn't really care if I had the time to play, since from my pov, it doesn't make a difference. But I guess the change was made with the pro's and con's in mind. I just fail to see the pro's outweighing the con's.
We all know that tbc is a bit too outdated for today's audience. Compared to later expansions, there's a lot of clunky shit going on. A lot of the diehard tbc fans are moving on, some to other games, some to other activities. The rest of the private server players around are either here to give the expansion a go, because they missed the opportunity to do so when it was live. Or for nostalgic reasons, remembering how baller tbc was back in the day. Both of these camps will either A) not care about the hp display, or B) think it's annoying. Ergo, there's most likely a bigger chance that people will find this negative, rather than positive. I have a hard time picturing a majority of non-diehard tbc fans going "wow, this is pretty cool!" when they're searching for the option to switch to a numerical hp display in the interface options menu.
It's not a big deal, it's just yet another small annoying reality, reminding people how outdated and shitty tbc really is. Don't think it'll make even a fragment of a positive difference, which is also why I don't understand why this change was made in the first place.
I could be wrong though, and maybe the change makes a difference I fail to see, or a lot of players actually think this is a cool feature.

All I see is that adding % Health just caused more buggs/errors(in case of addons) and it wasn't really necessary imo. I do think Henry cares about the opinions of his playerbase, but Itslovelol doensn't care about sf at all. Everything Itslovelol wants is his monthly salary. I mean if he really wanted to improve sf he could've had implent the AT core, no ? I could be wrong on this or mby not.

Maybe you are right, maybe not. I've tried to improve SF with many suggestions and much more things, but everyone seems to dislike changes, thats why I quit putting more effort into it then I should.Discyo wrote:All I see is that adding % Health just caused more buggs/errors(in case of addons) and it wasn't really necessary imo. Implement AT Core? Let's be serious, last state of NG is not even comparable to the current state that we run on SF. Yes of course we encounter some big bugs on updates, but it's the fault of the community not reporting them. Don't try to blame Henhouse, me or any other staff member for this. Feel free to report anything to https://bitbucket.org/smolderforge/core/issues and I'll fix it, sending me /w or mails ingame won't change shit.

When I read that you're the new Developer of SF , I couldnt't express how happy I was. Indeed you made alot good fixes, but and that's maybe just my opinion the server has more buggs than before.I'm not talking about minor bugs or the fucked up spell hit, I talk about gamebreaking bugs like for example when you kill some1 in arena and he revives few seconds after he got killed.

Do a rework of the ticket management system, so players can report bugs directly ingame and the admin team will do what is needed for you.Itslovelol wrote:Yes of course we encounter some big bugs on updates, but it's the fault of the community not reporting them.
Nobody is expecting every player to join the forums, so speaking of bitbucket... You've got my point.

You don't need to register for bitbucket to report bugs.Apuclevercow wrote:Do a rework of the ticket management system, so players can report bugs directly ingame and the admin team will do what is needed for you.Itslovelol wrote:Yes of course we encounter some big bugs on updates, but it's the fault of the community not reporting them.

If they don't even go on forums they'll obviously not visit bitbucket. Anyway players should be able to report shits directly ingame, we aren't populated enough and the players aren't motivated enough to report bugs another way than ingame.Ricekrispies wrote:You don't need to register for bitbucket to report bugs.Apuclevercow wrote:Do a rework of the ticket management system, so players can report bugs directly ingame and the admin team will do what is needed for you.Itslovelol wrote:Yes of course we encounter some big bugs on updates, but it's the fault of the community not reporting them.

Re: % Health: The most retarded thing
Well unfortunately there's no good interface, or method of submitting and tracking bugs in-game. For example, if we allowed bug reports to be submitted via a ticket, which many are, they're end up not detailed, no description of what is wrong, how it should be working, links to spells, evidence, information, etc. This makes them very ineffective, not useful, and a pain to read.
Additionally, tickets can only have a certain amount of characters. In the end, there's just no method to really submit bugs in-game without having a person go through and attempt to sort the mess. It would be more of a hinderance than a help, I'd imagine. I think Bitbucket is a good solution since you do not need to be registered. There's an auto broadcast that mentions it, and I link from the forums. That's about as much as we can do to get players to submit bugs.
