New Player and cannot log in

Hello everyone!
I played on this server a long time ago, back when the retail WoW was on TBC aswell! On a recent search through the Internet I discovered that Smolderforge was still up and running. I decided to download the Client (Pre-Installed) and give it a try.
After I unzip'd it I changed the realmlist.wtf file and launched the Wow.exe, but unfortunately it always says "Unable to Connect" whenever I try to log in.
Anyone knows how to fix this?

Some info you might consider relevant:
- I still have the retail WoW installed through the Bnet desktop app.
- I just downloaded the pre-installed client you have on your website and unzip'd it on a different folder than the retail WoW one.
