Account recovery

Post by sekaperwil »

Hello
1st of all i emailed about my problem to [email protected] a few days ago but sadly didnt get any response. So i decided to try my luck here.

I have trouble recovering my account. When i enter the required info the page just refresh itself and there is no recovery email.

The account i am trying to recover is extremly old and been played last time around 3years ago.
Maybe there have been an inactivity cleenup? Oh btw i did donate on it

Also to be honest i am kinda not sure about the email i used. I am 100% sure about username and also i know the original email. But i might have changed it later. However i have all my old and new emails i ever used writen down and fully accessible.
Also tried to login with both my old and new pass and it didnt work.

SO i am totally lost. Got a sudden urge to play tbc again and was plesently suprisded to find you guys beeing still around and lookin strong. Any help with account recovery would be awesome. I got lots of info about my acc writen down which i can provide.

Regards

I'm quite sure that your account is long lost now. If you have any donation proofs you should send them to [email protected] to get your codes back. Good thing is that now there is a donor account protection so accounts with at least one character with s4 mall access are excluded from the inactivity wipes.

I'm afraid your case doesn't look so bright without the donation info, but then, I'm not Henhouse. Perhaps you guys can sort this thing out somehow. About the donor protection, perhaps you had stopped playing before the feature was actually released here.

I am behind on emails as always, but not as behind as I once was last month. It has been difficult to find the time to sit down and sort through so many recoveries, and time-consuming tasks, while juggling so many in real life tasks as well.

Some things to mention: donor account preservation was implemented Jan. 18th, 2013 (read about it here). All new donors past that date were automatically flagged for preservation, and all existing donors needed to opt-in to this new service, which most did. Any account prior to this period that was deleted without preservation and had donor status can email me and I will reactivate all of their old donations (with record of them of course, see here).

So it looks like you've both done the right thing, and you're just playing the waiting game. I will be on my spring break from university this coming week and I aim to have all emails completed during that time off. I do appreciate your patience and understanding.
