3v3 solo queue interest

Hi there everyone,

We in the staff have been discussing the idea of possibly acquiring this feature and integrating it into our system. For those of you who don't know what this feature is, it's a method originally designed by AT where the 5v5 queue bracket is replaced with a system that allows you to queue by yourself into an alternative 3v3 bracket for solo queue. You're matched with 2 dps and 1 healer and are matched up against other players that are also solo queuing. You gain your own rating and points this way and is a good solution to getting 3v3 to be playable instead of the typical team method.

At this time it's uncertain how we would use it to affect season rewards. Obviously if the bracket becomes popular enough we would definitely be keen to integrate rewards for this type of game play, so we'd have to do a trial season first or something.


Let me know what you think. I think it's important for us to keep changing things up and offering new features/stuff to do on SF to keep our old game fun and interesting.


PS: The feature is cross-faction as well to increase queue times.

It seems to be something ENTERTAINING which is, in my mind, what current BC servers are lacking.

Feature will cost several hundred dollars to buy, but hey, that's what your donations are for. ;)

We're in the talks of acquiring it now, so I hope to have some news about it soon-ish.

Can we still queue in groups of 3, to fight solo-queue people? or is just solo v solo

you can't have like, maybe a group of 2 and find a solo, then fight another group?

only way I imagine it would be just solo que, otherwise it makes no sense.

anyway, great idea, looking forward to see it on sf

I honestly wish it was melee-ranged-healer because with 2x dps -healer you can for example get 2 shadow priests teamed up but anyway it's still great
