A small message to the staff
A small message to the staff
Greetings, these messages are directed to our kind staff. We mean no harm or disrespect, we're only revealing what we feel about the PvE advancement and the only reason we will be posting such comments, is to offer/gain some motivation.
PvE on Smolderforge basically wiped few months ago and to be honest, it was a tough but cooperative job to bring back a PvE guild. Some of you might ask us what are we doing and why do we call ourselves a raiding guild. The fact is that we do our best to raid and we showed that in the previous weeks, most of all, we do believe in ourselves, careless about the ones who only care to bring hate into the guild. We started to do PvE actions from scratch, around 2 months ago, while others were taking us as a joke "This is a PvP server" or most of all "Lol a raiding guild on SF?". The thing is that we worked hard on ourselves and mainly with the Tsunami-EC cooperation we managed to knock on some of the worst bosses you could ever encounter and of course, we'll keep on going as far as the scripts allow us to go.
We kindly ask the staff to take care of the scripts; we all know they're busy, but we need to improve alongside the server. We kindly ask you to lookup these bugged bosses, a wipe was never something to stop us from raiding, but a bugged boss is just a barrier that we cannot cross. If you're some random PvE player, you won't even have a reason to start a raid with an unknown ending. However, we did go into BT knowing that we'll reach a bugged boss.. We tried, but of course, we failed due to the bug.
I say it's time for you to believe in us and in SF's PvE, just like we did.
Thanks for reading!

Re: A small message to the staff
Hey, Quickheal here, we as a Tsunami guild really need BT and TK scripted as I am sure you have read in the many lines of text we have sent you. We want this scripted because we want to totally revive the PvE on Smolderforge. I have had an account for a little over a year and only in the past couple months have I finally seen a strive for PvE perfection, mostly done by Tsunami. We are ready, and we need your help, we need fully scripted bosses without bugs so we can bring Smolderforge to its true potential as a PvE server. Instead of the preceding reputation of a lightly dead PvP server. Lets get this done! Now!
Re: A small message to the staff
Hello dear Smolderforge community,
I am writing this to insure that the PvE on Smolderforge will live.
Our society <Tsunami> is one of the biggest PvE societys on Smolderforge realm, and we cannot continue farming SC every single day, doing dungeons and clear 60 lvl raids anymore ... We want to take PvE on Smolderforge to a whole new level!
What we want to ask you is, script those epic raids like Black Temple, The Eye and Hyjal Summit and help us growing into competitive guild.
By scripting lvl 70 raids like The Eye, Black Temple and Hyjal Summit will able us to challenge our selves and grow up into one realy competent raiding guild. (Which we already are but not on high level as we would be after clearing those raids.)

Re: A small message to the staff
Good day everyone
I'd say scripting more PvE content on SF would bring in even more players. I've had, and seen several inquires regarding the PvE content (mainly raids), asking are there guilds focusing on PvE, are the bosses scripted/doable and so forth. So in my opinion, the PvE community is still a major factor, and should be taken into account if we wish to be the very best of 2.4.3 servers out there.
Even though SF is mainly a PvP server, through possible (maybe even serious?) PvE raiding I think we would be able to fix or at least reduce the effects of issues that we currently have in PvP (Horde-Alliance ratio etc). Maybe make SWP gear obtainable only through raiding, like it was in retail, though that would mean the need to increase the PvE difficulty somehow, to counteract "carrying" of the already obtained endgame gear.
As a player who does both PvP and PvE, at this current moment I think scripting more raids would be the best for SF.
And I doubt the server couldn't take it.

Re: A small message to the staff
Dear SF staff and community.
The time i've spent here on Smolderforge has been consisting of BG's where the entire team gets either facerolled or flamed and where arena has been dominated by the same players for a lot of seasons, or spamming endless Scarlet Citadel raids and a singular Mount Hyjal raid.
I've had plenty of fun doing these things I must admit, but let me put this in a retail concept, if the staff of Blizzard wouldn't produce and release new content the players would become unsatisfied and quit. Therefore I would suggest fixing or scripting PvE content as it would amuse a great amount of players I know, within your time schedual ofcourse.
By doing this not only would you satisfy a greater number of PvE players, you would also help the server grow by for example starting challenges within the PvE scene and thus attract more players.
I know this is a difficult task to ask for but I think optimisticly that this would have a great impact in the end.

Re: A small message to the staff
So what boss did you have trouble with in Black Temple? Are you also aware that CutiePie PvE, a raiding guild from 2011/2012, made it all the way to Illidan with these bugs? I'm quite sure you can do with enough practice and motivation. If everyone is giving up after 1-2 wipes, then that is not showing integrity and determination as a guild devoted to PvE, but rather an expectation for super easy downing of bosses and unwillingness to try again. I assure you you can make it all the way to Illidan with enough practice. Depending on the complixity of the bugs I can possibly resolve some major problems with them, but I'll need well reported information regarding it.
As for TK, I'm quite certain this is scripted? Additionally, Ashes of Al'ar drops.... yet no one cares to raid it. If sunwell is your only motivating factor, why aren't you just raiding SC? Additionally, we're trying to lower the amount of SWP in the game, why do you want more? If you're relying on SWP to progress through any of the T5/T6 raids, there's a problem. You already get access to all the good enchants and gems in the game. Perhaps you need to work on synergy?
I'm simply saying I don't think these are wholeheartedly our problems as we've seen success from others in the past who were very determined, and very motivated. I can only do so much, but to have everything 100% is simply not really within the realm of possibly due to time and extreme complexity. I can repair what I can and make appropriate changes to prevent issues from happening.

Re: A small message to the staff
So we have been going through this a lot of times, we make a guild, get enough people, start with Hyjal and successfully complete it. And then move on to raids like TK or BT next, but we end up wiping due to the raids not being scripted or the server crashes when we engage a certain boss or sometimes because we suck. And after that happens, people slowly lose all the interest and possibly move to other servers/expansions and within a few days the guild is dead.
And this cycle keeps going on like this, but wouldn't it be good if these instances could be fixed so that we can enjoy the tbc content once again. Would certainly be a hard task, but look at the possibilities. The population will surely increase! And more pve guilds will arise here in SF.
Also I personally appreciate that you guys did fix Supremus when <Cutiepie PVE> was going through BT. If we could go ahead like this, possibly we can get everything scripted slowly. :) And lastly this is only my suggestion, I do know we have limited devs here. But please take this into consideration. ^_^

Re: A small message to the staff
Hey smolder forge community!
i would agree with everyone above me and say lets bring in PvE!
Tbc was actually a very PvE heavy expansion with some of the best raids in WoW's history.
i have completed them all except from SWP on retail and i want to relive that experience, maybe even get a SWP clear in the near future. My guild <Tsunami> got brained members and we are ready to push them all!
Give us some raids and we might make this server grow some too due to PvE players joining!
This server has a smooth feel to it and i think many people would enjoy playing PvE here!

The last time we did Gurtogg Bloodboil, the server crashed.Henhouse wrote: So what boss did you have trouble with in Black Temple?
We only got past the Illidari Council cause a GM helped us. The encounter was resetting if I remember correctly or we were about to wipe, please correct me if I'm wrong. As for Supremus, you were already there, and fixed the issues later. However we did kill him in HC mode! ;)Henhouse wrote: Are you also aware that CutiePie PvE, a raiding guild from 2011/2012, made it all the way to Illidan with these bugs? Completely okay with SC. Swp is out of the question here.Henhouse wrote: If sunwell is your only motivating factor, why aren't you just raiding SC? Additionally, we're trying to lower the amount of SWP in the game, why do you want more?
Re: A small message to the staff
We do believe in you, but the point is that we need clear and decent reports. We do recognize some of the bugged contents; but in order to try to fix something, you need to know what's wrong with it.. Right? That's the missing part, no clear reports.
Please do the following:
- Report Black Temple bugs.
- Report Tempest Keep bugs.
