for the time this server has been up this shit has never been fixed if its so hard to remap the full game atleast sort out bg and arena maps. Seems SF has a thing about stealing everything else from other servers, early start in arena premade talent and gear npc. Shame they never stole anything decent like fixing this utter shite.

That happens everywhere, including retail.

I blink through the world on other servers as well, including very well developed ones. The same happened back when I played retail. You respawn a few seconds later, what's the big deal?

Normaly i would not reply to such utter bait but since its deems ill make an exception. Never in all my years as a professional plate spinner have i once fallen through the tomb in ruins. Never happend to me on any other "well devd" server either no names given. Nor have i saw some one fall through on any of the videos i have saw, and ive saw some videos... seems like the smallest little hump on BF and youll just fall through it. What makes it a big deal? players cant even play to their potential when they focus intercept some one who is a few yards higher than them and just fall through the floor. Not sure what retail you played on lad but surely was not the same one as me-r8b8m8

Go play Molten-WoW, the king of servers, racks in millions of dollars, has big developers yet, I played a feral druid on there and cannot tell you how many times I fell through the world. Welcome to free-to-play private servers, written from the ground up, 0 code able to be taken from the retail servers, and yet you expect them to be perfect? TBC cores are also the most underdeveloped. They haven't received real team development since 2009....

We will never develop the map system, it's insanely complex and beyond not only my programming skills, but our developer Exsurgo to. Only very experienced programmed developed the technologies that went into MaNGOS/Trinity, etc. that figure out how that stuff works. It's insane mathematics with programming that is just very hard to conceptualization... not that you'd ever be able to do that anyway.


As for Smolderforge "coping" things, I find this very funny. For years and years people copied my ideas, my systems I designed, and a lot of the work I had originally come up with. That gear NPC? I developed a basic one back when we ran a Pre-TBC server in 2010. So I guess they copied me? But you know what, that's cool that people take ideas and develop them, that's good. You know why? Because every single great invention on this earth was never, ever the sole idea of someone. 100% of their ideas were based off concepts and original work of other people. The lightbulb, the car, the computer, the internet, World of Warcraft, etc., absolutely everything. Welcome to being human.

So calm down. It's a free game, and I can't fix that.

Never had any problems with ruins either. But your footage was of wsg, and in wsg it happens, everywhere. I've blinked/shs through the world here on sf, I've blinked through the world on hg, I've blinked/shs through the world on molten, and I've blinked/shs through the world on at, which is considered one of the best developed and maintained servers around. And yes, it happened on retail as well. Not as frequent, but it did happen. If it didn't happen to you, then you've either played a class that didn't have to worry about it, been quite lucky, or you haven't played much at all. Whichever the case, good for you. Most people who've played retail through its various expansions have done, seen or at least heard about it.

And about you not having witnessed it in any videos, well that's quite obvious. It's not really video material. I've seen a good bunch myself, and can't recall ever seeing it.

But I'll humor you and follow your logic. Let's see where it breaks. You say that Hen has a tendency to steal shit from other servers. Let's, for the sake of argument, say he has. What he stole in the examples you listed are ideas. He saw a template npc, so he took the idea and made his own template npc. He saw an arena-game start system, so he took the idea, and implemented his own system. Now let's say he logs into a server where he doesn't fall through the world... are you saying that he should take that idea and just implement it here? If you're under the impression that you can just open up a DevTool in game and copy the code from whatever server you happen to be on, then you're wrong.

It's a glitch, and it sucks. Really sucks in some cases. But be realistic.

It happened to me too yesterday two or three bg's in a row I respawned at the graveyard in Warsong Gulch and got a death for it while I didn't even died.

being fair i agree that falling through the floor is not ideal video footage but when 70% of videos have a blooper reel none of which showing losing a match because they fell through ruins i just find your reply bait deems. Humor me Jonni# its not like its an original concept no shit you cant access server side code like that as a player but seems the only ideas brought back are the ones with relitively easy backrounds. We all know its an age old problem here on sf falling through the floor and i agree deems i did fall through the floor on retail but it was never in a bg or arena. u would always get disconnected and sent to the boat under alterac mountians ( youtube-Oothewow / outskilled-pred) the reason im using ruins as an example is that its small and somthing to start off on.

It justt seems like the charge does not take into account the enviroment and it will travel in a straight line regardless now a while back i brought this up henry and you called me out saying it cant be done so i linked a video of a particular server in the making where charge reacts to the enviroment. Now in your words they have a full dedicated dev team and it would still happen anyways but going the proof is there that it can be fixed after all. but then again u play a pally on sf ylu dont have to get frustrated falling through the floor every time u fart.

As said, I've never stumbled upon the glitch in an arena environment anywhere else. In bg's I have though. And yes, that includes the aforementioned servers, including retail. Especially when it comes to wsg and eots, which are notorious for said problem.

However much you want to twist and turn it, the core of the problem is that we don't have a developer to fix the glitch. And until we do, it'll most likely remain, unless Hen finds some other way of getting hold of a fix.
