Stun resist

Post by Akeno »

Okey so since yesterday after the server being restarted i logged in ,played a battleground and more than half of my cheap shots and kidney shots got fully resisted by all types of classes. I don't think it's normal and i hope someone else has this issue too. I know what i'm talking about because it's not normal for a mage to resist my cheap shot five times in a row and it's not normal for a druid in can form to be stunned by me 2 from 10 tries. Priests were also resisting half of my stuns. Warriors were the ones who resisted probably 70-80% of them. It's a bit better today but it could be probably because i've played just one battleground. My stuns got resisted 4 or 5 times today in a single battleground which i guess could happen, but yesterday in WSG it was literally around 20 - 25 times, since all of the players were fighting and no one was capping flags i could just cheap shot all i wanted to and most players would almost always resist it. This goes for kidney shot too.

The only change we made was to make cheapshot and pounce resistable. Kidney shot has not been changed. I also tested the resists before the change went live and over a moderate duration the resists leveled out (the first 5 cheapshots in a row got resisted in testing).

I actually do think that there could be other problems in how stun resistance is calculated, but the opening stun resistance fix should not have caused any new ones.

My pounce also get a lot of resists.

Only rogues who clearly fail in a row ks on me are those who try to take me in front instead of shs + ks which is the base imo. Remember that basic druids in cow form have more than 50% dodge and at least +15% stuns resistance and that 50% doesn't really mean you'll be dodged 1/2 in a duel/single fight on a bg, it's only the fact on a huge number of try.

my stun attack is rarely resisted b/c I always try to use it on the target's butt, even on disci priest and other faggots.

Resisting a stun doesn't depend on whether it comes from front or rear.

I will run an extensive test on stuns today. But I suspect it is just (very) bad rng that is causing the perceived problems.
