Well, indeed - that's true.
Although, it's still impossible to get into a raid group as melee.

bring in elements that makes mele requiered for raids
like give bosses a spell that makes them immune to magic temporarily
or how about spell reflects,silences,stuns.
there are allot of ways to make it more challengin.

This is something I want to do. I know when movement maps support come out relatively soon, we'll be enabling them in SC too so the first boss encounter will work as intended with pathfinding.

And reduce the amount of armor bosses have, its rediculous. A rogue with 3k ap hits for 400. What the fuck.

Casters out-dps melees so hard on bosses.


It's practically impossible to find a group as a melee, nobody will take you.

As far as I know, the bosses in SC have about 7700 armour, which is within the standard range for end game bosses. We will look into dropping the armour to the caster boss level (~6600 armour), among other changes that should make melee more useful and add some disadvantages to casters.

7700 is far too much, SWP standard was 6200.

7700 is the standard warrior boss armour, 6200 is the caster boss armour.

To be honest, due to blatantly unfair designed boss abilities each boss should be treated as caster, to allow melee fair participation in raid. But also new abilities should be added to make those nasty casters move and think, because right now all they have to do is: get proper spot and spam spells. However, one thing limits adding some more sophisticated abilities - narrow rooms. Only last boss has some space, perhaps Henhouse could think of making halls abit wider?
