Blizzard delays "Titan"

Pretty big right now in the online news, Blizzard resets their Development of the unannounced upcoming MMO "Titan" and shifts the majority of the developers to other projects.

What do you guys think? I would have liked something fresh now from but I guess we have to wait till 2016

Can't say Blizzard has been very impressive the last couple of years, so my expectations are close to zero. And I can't see myself starting another mmo again. I've farmed enough.

They've been talking about "Titan" since 2007. I think maybe Guild Wars 2 or the string of failed MMO's and WoW's struggling ability to hold their subscription numbers has got them worried. They need to do something big if they're going to make an impact on the MMO scene. I don't expect much given their recent decisions have been so terrible. Activision is a tumor on Blizzard's brain.

Xaru is right about 2007. I remember expecting to hear news about the MMO at 2008 BlizzCon and ever year since I've expected the same. Somewhere in there 6 years past -- that's longer than the development of WoW and most MMOs. So here they are pushing the game back to release almost a decade after they announced working on a new MMO.

Definitely a wrong move, maybe the game was shit, but that's also their fault. They had 5-6 years to get it right. They also had Jeffrey Kaplan who was one of the best WoW developers who switched to the project during Wrath. Now WoW retail has plummeted and they've lost millions of subscribers. Blizzard is definitely falling far from their position in the top these days. Terrible move, terrible waste of money, time and resources.

6 years is such a long time when it comes to gaming. Things move so fast that if the developers made any progress they'd have had to scrap it multiple times due to technology and graphics changing. You can't have high hopes for a game that takes so long to go from development to an estimated release date, unless it's HL: E3. I think the internet will implode upon the announcement of that haha.

Also, sorry for not replying to you on Skype or on Smolderforge, I promise I didn't notice!! I've just been really busy lately. Also it's raining like crazy in London now, I hope the sky clears up for your arrival and it's a good trip, 3 times is a lot of times to come to one place so I hope this trip goes as well as the others or better. You are an honorary brit as fast as I am concerned. :-D
