I suspect moving large parts of the server to one zone would make server lag significantly worst. I also think we will keep Quel'Thalas until at-least we work out the kinks in the duel zone code.

well if u move all the npcs and stuff shouldnt be much lag at all and no difference really its just .npc whatever number. I Just Think its very dreary there and seems too compact hard to keep track of where ur opponent is on the screen cause of dark ground u know...

idk if this makes sense to anyone but I just felt like the camps at mulgore would be best very lit up and has some trees for pillaring and had built in buildings for npcs and idk how the npcs all being in one spot would lag the server ne more than it is with the npcs where they r now even know the lag isnt that bad u get used to it even retail had lag so its w/e..

if soum1 could explain to me how moving the npcs lags the server more id like to know and understand more of how the lag works for curiosity

but im just a player speaking an opinion ( and im pretty stoned so maybe im not making sense idk makes sense to me)

he means if there are players gearing up, queueing, and dueling all the in the same zone then there will be more lag in that particular zone because it will be densely populated. probably better to keep the mall separate as it's already laggy enough sometimes

i dont think so since its such a large area im almost 100% sure u can do it with no problems just would take time and a diff neutral duel code i imagine

but we have exsurgo and hes the best :)

in time I believe exsurgo will fix everything he can, he truly cares about server :)

I have to say, I think things are fine as they are. And yeah, the neutral duel zone is already laggy as hell, adding more stuff to it will mean that dueling will become a pain in the ass. Adding the BG areas to the dueling zone would be very nice of you though, since we already have the arena people there. :]

Lag increases by somewhere between a linear and cubic curve depending on the number of players and npcs in a zone. I think it could be a poor choice to shift 30/40% of the player population to the one area. Other servers like AT split up their malls for a reason.

I know some people want the zone moved, and that may be a probability for the future when we iron out the bugs in the code.

tru that and ng has it all together with no lag so we could do it too :)

Yes, but remember they have pve/non-pvp content disabled, less peak players and they run on a different core. They also do not have AV, which has a significant performance impact.
