I think having flying mounts in the duel area could get rather messy. Probably best to keep it on the ground imo. Flying mounts in the mall is a strong probability, it should just take some work.
I can imagine druids would start spamming flying form etc.

Yes, exactly this. I don't think flying mounts is a good idea, it will be extremely crowded and annoying and people will abuse their mounts in PvP. Druids would definitely be the most annoying ones. I have the code now and have been testing it a bit. There a few problems we had to work out and got fixed quite quickly. The code works pretty well, and quite uniquely. Without having to change the entire flag system, Exsurgo made it so while you're in the zone your player faction is removed and you become the faction of the Shattered Sun Offensive, since they are both friendly to Horde and Alliance. Once you leave the zone, you are returned to your normal player faction.
Somehow this works, and works quite well so we've utilized this neat trick to be able to offer neutral dueling. After a bit more testing and implementing of all the other fixes rolling out, this will be released soon in the next patch.

Updates are finished and ready for release, but am I going to push it back a day because if I released everything tonight, I will be gone from 8:30 am to late that night, so if there were serious problems with the server, I would be unable to fix them.

Fairly sure the zone is set, but if not, Dire Maul arena would be a suitable place. Flat and enclosed. Don't know how big of a problem the ffa factor would be though, but I guess it would be quite the problem with the way you've solved it.
