I suggest that everyone playing a warlock checks what the tooltip has to say about Suffering. Also little something related to pets, I've said it before but still... When a movement impairing effect fades from demon it continues to move with the impaired speed until mounting up or dismissing and summoning it again.
EDIT: I've never expirience any problems Sacrificing a Voidwalker.
Also I've noticed that if Succubus is set to "passive" it won't cast any spells, even if the command comes from the master (this is said to rule out all possible flaming considering pet skills set to auto-cast).
EDIT: Same goes for if pet is set to stay and one issues a command, nothing happens. At this point pet should move closer to cast the spell.
EDIT: The list goes on. When succubus' seduction is reflected, succubus becomes seduced. However, seduction is channeled spell and therefore it shouldn't be possible to be seduced and channel it at the same time.

I know what Suffering does, and it's barely helpful in the long run, especially 1v1 against a rogue (basically the only time I use sacrifice in combat, unless I know I'm against a double melee team that will nuke me in arena). Also, to specify my troubles with Sacrifice, I need to spam my macro to make it work when I'm in CC, and this seems to happen with all pets, if I have anything macro'd to my bars sometimes my demon won't be able to use whatever spell I want it to cast. For example I've been silenced and when I try to Spell Lock or Devour Magic I get "can't do that now" or whatever. I think this same effect delays my sacrifice when I'm in Kidney Shot, Charge stun, etc. Before you tell me my demon is probably CC'd, no, it isn't.

Thats exactly where its useful! More misses = less damage, even better if rogue misses with Kidney Shot.
EDIT: Aye, its not much use in the long run as the debuff lasts only 15 seconds. But in some cases it just might save your Medallion of the Horde for later use.

Damn hard to say whats causing this, I've never had any problems using my minion's abilities, in any situation what so ever, but you could post the macros you are using. After all, no-one else seems to be having this sort of issues.
EDIT: I went through some old posts and wanted to bring a little something up from November 2011.
Darkgroom wrote:Hmmm yea its currently a completely random chance based on the damage you deal the 300 damage will result in a 15% chance to remove it which is almost 1/5.
Altho i just looked in wowpedia and i see that fear is removed not based on the chance but based on the AMOUNT of damage is dealt from when the fear was applied.
For example i get feared, my TotalDamageSince is reseted to 0 and when i then get damage it's counted up, now when for example my TotalDamageSince reached 10000 (Don't know the value now will need to go on retail) the fear will break.
I will fix this as soon as possible, maybe even today.
Thanks for the report,
Sincerely, Darkgroom
Has this "project" been totally abandoned?

I saw this before as well, and actually I remember the "total damage done" effect being added in WotLK, in BC it's definitely a chance that damage breaks fear, there is no damage limit as I recall taking down 6k or more in one Fear on retail.

No longer any problems with macros, but problems with pets haven't changed. I switched my Sacrifice macro from middle mouse to Shift-S and I don't need to spam it anymore, not sure why it helps lol

Vicarious seems to be spot on with the bugs warlocks are experiencing.
I am just to mention a few which are gamebreaking, and explains why there are so few warlocks.. and why there ain't like a single warlock playing arenas continously.
[Felhunter]
Resistances - Now these are nonexistant in practice. Or at least half-working. I see my pet gets reduced damage from spells, which is correct (partial resists) but the times he is fully resisting a spell (which he should, with over 230 resistances to each - except holy - school) are as rare as a non-orc warrior resisting any rogue stun. So close to zero. This causes the pet to become easily snareable, cc-able, damageable and it negates its utilities by far. For example, any priest will Fear both you and your pet 95% of the time (even with a lack of hit rating/spell pen on his side), thus making your pet unable to Devour the Fear off you, taking away the whole purpose of playing the class skilled.
Important to note, that the resistances you get from your Felhunter when properly Demo specced doesn't seem to work either.
Spell Lock - Woah, woah, woah... Now this ability either has a 25% chance to get resisted on any class, or something is wrong. The latter.
Tainted Blood - Works nigh perfect but sometimes the Felhunter forgets to cast it (on autocast!), or gets removed by no reason whatsoever against classes who don't have a single dispel (like rogues).

Fear:
Now this guy breaks. Breaks from anything and everything, whenever he wants, totally incalculable and uncontrollable.
If I recall correct, Fear had both a damage limit on retail, but also had a smaller chance to break from direct damaging attacks/spells. The first loss in my 2s team happened because Fear broke off of Pounce on its first tick. (Yes. That's the druid opener dot dealing 40-60 damage a tick as resto.)
Dots:
Dots don't do enough damage. It might be SP scaling unproperly or some talent not working correctly.
I did a test on another realm (can't tell its name since that's advertising) on a target exactly the same as on SF. I had an S3 warlock there and the dots ticked slightly more, about 8-10 damage higher than they did on SF with an S4 slsl. This doesn't seem much, but when it's equal gear and when you end up having lots of dots on someone, its just that it matters.
Also, as some people mentioned already a few talents in Destruction tree work strange, but I'm not going into detail since this post is too long already.
Btw, the Felhunter itself works better as it did like 1.5 year ago or like that, so you guys definately did a great job with it, I'm just looking forward to some more fixes so locks (at least SLSL and UA, actually Destros are getting boring now..) don't become extinct in 2s!
Would you happen to know a good source of spell damage coefficients for warlock dots? The problem is the values we have on our core are different from the values that the Mangos core uses. I don't know if one is right, or if they are both wrong.
Check old pve posts on Elitist Jerks. And there's this other old warlock forum around, can't remember the name of it. Most pve guides include some number crunching, and the coefficients usually tag along.
