The end of the mixed Ally/Horde Global Chats.

Post by Falseroll »

Like the title says, that just make them start flame wars in the global chat and actually it's annoying to read shit.
Closing the chat is not a solution, But making different chats for both factions maybe will stop the situation.

Before this i was going to say something about " the end of mixed mall/battlemaster's" but nvm, that would be too much and actually the mixed malls help with the activity and organization's.

I've considered doing this, and last April Fools I forgot to do it for the entire server. However, don't you feel it will reduce the spam, yes, but cause a LOT of problems with unmonitored chat for GMs (I don't think we're an exception... not sure) and cause people to not find groups for anything?

They can still /y in malls/battlemaster's when they are looking for groups :D, like they did months ago when the lfg had disabled for a time.
At least you could test it 1 week :p.

Would be cool to try it out, I think it will reduce the amount of flame wars that are happening and also it gives a Blizzlike feeling since it was always like this on retail as well.

I think it would help more if you couldn't /w the opposite faction, it's not that global channels are mandatory to begin with, you can disable them.
Yeah well, sorry roleplayers, I didn't forget you, I just roll over you guys on purpose.

While it would solve some issues, it would create others. Honestly, if a player's being annoying; ignore them. I vote we get a larger ignore list, 50 fills up pretty fast during the children's hour. (After school hours, server time.)

Ignore them is not even a solution.
& the idea is about to avoid flame wars of both factions on the global chats.

Also if you ignore a player here people are childish enough to create another character to continue the flame. And if you ignore that character they just log another to piss you off.

That's the most annoying thing, maybe it would be better if you could ignore an IP adress or account. Or just a bigger ignore list will do as well.

Blizzard was stupid for never blocking via account.
