Prevent Gear swapping in arena

are you sure?...cuz i am pretty sure that it got disabled in prep room as well, but maybe im mixing it up with arena tournament, at least its been a while since retail^^

Players will no longer be able to change armor once an arena battle has begun. Changing armor will still be available during the one-minute prep time prior to the battle. Main hand, off hand and range weapon swapping in combat remains unchanged.

Gear swaping in the prep room is still possible on retail.
from s1 till s12 (now). The only difference is on retail u need to predict because people in the Arena cant be found when u /who them and in additional you are mostly fighting team from other servers.

And gear swaping isnt an unfair advantage since as Mayore said already vs some team u NEED to switch the gear or you have no chance and probably u will still lose with the switched gear.

For example Double Rogue with Hand of Deciver (Should be removed from the game since its even BETTER than the Main Glaive). And yes I'm saying this as a rogue.
Hand of Deciver + Glaive off-hand was BiS in tbc.

Back to topic, If you wanna be succesful in the arena, u need to practice the strategy vs the enemy comp. And a strategy begins with the gear you wearing.
