<GM> APPLICATION
What is your character's name in-game: Shortnstout (alt name being used for CoC purposes #2 & #4)
How old you are: 19
What country you live in: United States of America
Other languages fluent in besides English: None
If so, how well: N/A
Have you ever been a Game Master on another server? No, I have not. But I'm a quick learner & Skelmor said If I'm able to get the GM position he'll help me learn the commands. ^^
Occupation(s), if school/university include grade/year level: I work for a power washing company. We drive trucks around the state of Texas & power wash behicles for companies like AT&T.
When did you start playing on Smolderforge? About 2 years ago I believe. Maybe a little bit more.
How much experience with seeing in-game Smolderforge GMs do you have? When I used to play about a year ago I saw GM's on a lot more. Now I only see mostly Skelmor, rarely do I see other GM's. I play a lot of my day & usually just chit-chat, when I could be opening tickets & assisting players rather than sitting around. I know there's a lot of tickets & not very many active GM's. With as many tickets as you guys recieve, it is just rediculous the low number of GM's assisting members of the server with tickets.
Do you work well with others or are you better independent: I guess it would depend on the situation. If people are constructively criticizing then I'm open to their opinion, but if people are just going to bash me I would prefer to work alone. Yes, everyone gets a little hazing, but some people can take it a little far. I notice a lot of trash talk & spamming in LFG. I am constantly having to remove people from my ignore list to add others. & I feel it needs to stop. Skelmor has been trying to take action but people claim he's "abusing his powers" I don't see it that way. I see it as him being active & "cleaning" up the server, if you will.
What experience with retail WoW do you have? I played from about 3 months before TBC was released all the way up to end game WOTLK on retail.
If you played, what levels of characters did you have? 70 Tauren Hunter(MM), 70 Blood Elf Paladin(Prot)
What do you think qualifies you to be a Game Master on Smolderforge? I'm a pretty relaxed fellow, & where I see people go "lol noob delete wow or play a class you know" I will assist them, sure I can't teach them to play like a boss but I will assist them with what I can, things like the right gems & enchants, gear & spec. What do you have to offer to the community? I'm online most of my spare time, I would love to assist people with tickets & help resolve any questions or concerns they may have. Would definately be a VERY active SF <GM>. & As far as I'm concerned the current <GM>'s are far from active. It gets irritating people spamming in LFG going "GM PLZ HALP" 40 times. Niether getting muted or having their problem resolved. I would definately help lower the number of people spamming in chat.
Have you agreed to our Terms of Service and will be willing to bind to the GM CoC? Yes. :3
Any additional comments you would like to add? I've noticed Skelmor tries his best to answer tickets & assist people. People treat him like crap & disrespect him. When he mutes people for talking crap & disrespecting him they accuse him of "abusing his powers". They are just made they can't get away with whatever they want. People spam & make LFG a place people don't wanna be. LFG is supposed to be for the community, & as far as I'm concerned the community is tired of LFG chat. The people that ruin it for others need to be silenced. The game should be fun for everyone & there's way too many people that put others down & try to ruin their day. I'm not saying I'm gonna go around banning & muting people, but the disrespect people show GM's has got to stop. I mean, come on.. people want help but make tickets that say "Go fuck yourself.". There's no need for that..
