That would mess up the balance in this server, just saying

Balance? What balance do you mean? TBC was not balanced and neither is the Alliance / Horde ratio. It's a fun server so why not implement this fun feature?

Depends how hard it is to obtain, but is faking gear really that necessary?
I mean people can edit that client side aswell anyway (both MPQ and cache works just fine, unless the former gets filtered by Warden), with the added benefit to not annoy everyone else with personal preferences (as it's just client side).

Not a big fan of messing with my client and third party programs are not recommended by the server. Also if you do it that way you are the only one able to notice the effect and it would be more fun in my opinion if you can share your character's looks with the whole server by transmogging it. Also it was available on AT and it worked perfectly fine their, so I don't see any problem why it would not work here.

You will always get people that don't like the idea but in the end I think you will get more positive feedback about this feature if you implement it since a lot of people are full geared already and looking for something new.

Maybe make the requirement High Warlord / Grand Marshal, vote points or high donation price on it? Just an idea to make it more rare..

Not everyone has Wrathful on AT. They start off with full Relentless also never saw anyone bitch about it there so why not try it out here and see the result?

What they'll miss at 1750 is the s8 head, shoulders and weapons. For a caster this does absolutely nothing, just minor stats. The weapon for a melee does help out, but the difference won't be all that big. It's all about the pve gear, and as long as you've played a couple arenas/bgs, you'll have it all.

So yes, everyone has the same gear setup on AT.
