Meh, SLSL was one of the strongest comp all TBC long and here the pet dies so fast and easy ? Think its just the hp scaling with gear that is bugged/missed on SF.Imperium wrote:they're just going to compare our Warlock pets to AT's pets.
which is blasphemy lol. Pretty sure ATs warlock pets are buffed as fuck.
Did everyone else ignore my post that pets did NOT get resilience until wotlk?
For now it was just that they scaled off their owners HP and armor and magic resist.
What about warlocks ? .............

I think this may be the case. I am going to run some numbers later and try to work out if their hp is scaling correctly.Amgseret wrote: Think its just the hp scaling with gear that is bugged/missed on SF.

The first thing is that they miss their spells sometimes and that you have to be in range with the pet so it can cast it. On retail you could just command the Fel hunter to cast Devour Magic and it would do it regardless the range. Please correct me if I'm wrong with that. Anyway the hit is wrong somehow it feels like.
The second thing is that they must be to squishy, I want to think that. Almost everyone i know here think the same and i have had endless discussions about this with neo, zizz, applez, asfa. I have also reported it and all the other threads are pointing the same thing: they die to easy :( (Warlock whine maybe? no) I actually did some arena here as SL/SL with a rogue/druid and its not fun at all. Affliction lols is way more effective and fun. Sure more damage but at least i don't have to focus on ressing my pet and recast Soul link every time a warr is looking at my pet.
Demonic Resilience don't work (me and Neoxis was testing this on the old core). Gimps SL/SL even more. The issue can be all the gear access to that just fuck the pet over..its a theory.
When i was playing retail 70 back at Merciless it was so easy to be SL/SL i just drained and won, its not like this here. It dies way to easy.. everything also add up that you cant recall the pet properly.
I dont know the source but its going around here that Armor is broken and Resilience work. I want to believe this. There was a reason people run from a 13k HP warlock :D
"Why did they nerf SL/SL warlocks? It was so fun require raid tactics to kill one!"
"SL/SL, awesome for outlasting, esp when getting focused."
Would be cool if Hufsa could check this if possible and i honestly have no clue if they are incorrectly HP scaled here.

Re: What about warlocks ? .............
You're wrong. Wrong about the range, and somewhat wrong about the hit. Range has always affected pets, ever since vanilla. As for the hit, yes, hit is fucked up. But that has nothing to do with the pet. Since the pet uses its masters hit, it becomes fucked up since, as said, the masters hit is fucked up.Wacco wrote:The first thing is that they miss their spells sometimes and that you have to be in range with the pet so it can cast it. The only problem I see with pets (if the movement/commands have been fixed) is survivability.

If your pet was out of range and you used devour on yourself, it would run in range, devour and run back to attack it's target. Same with spell lock, if the target is too far it'll run to it and then spell lock when its in range.
