Hyjal really needs to go, but there are people who still enjoy it for what it is, and it's nice for the dead hours when everyone is asleep and there's not too many people.

I was going to replace it with a FFA PvP area since we did a nice job with it on Wrath but I would have to disable honor and HKs there because it would be HORRIBLE if you could actually farm there.

Nii wrote:Please do something with alliance GY in Hyjal. Horde can easily reskill us without spirit guards interference. We can't buff, eat, prepare or something to the fight and they already cast to us.

Like today, all horde trash (from United especially or other shits) met in Hyjal, camped aroung GY and reskilled us. With 2 healers behind them of course as always. ( no, I'm not crying)

There are some screens about what I'm talking.

respect to Tavren, only he came to 1v1 with me, all of you are bad shits

+ fix Death wish on warrior, I think it doesnt work.

Thank you
Calling somebody "shits" ain't gonna solve your problems. No one from your screenshots is a member of United guild. So please don't cry & lie here on forums, Nii. There is no GY (bg or world PvP) farming in our guild politics and that's written and made clear in our guild information as one of the rules.
In the future, do not mention our guild if you don't have anything better to write.
And btw, Tavren, whom you respect, is a member of United guild, a good and fair player as you can see. My English may not be the best, but you'll understand what I wanted to say. Thank you and good night.

I think the opposite approach might help. Go for more than one world pvp zone to give people more options and split up zergs more. If there is one thing Smolderforge lacks it is world pvp. I would love an open world pvp zone.

Another solution would be to have multiple bases (spawn positions). This way it would be impossible to camp one spirit guardian.

Hyjal's linearity favours zerging.

I did testing last night and was able to disable Honor/HK rewards from Gurubashi arena (just a test).

Guess I could look into aiming towards some FFA PvP zones. Not Guru... it's proved to be absolute horrible for FFA from testing with Wrath.

No punishments then? Hm.

A FFA area would be nice. There's so much sexual tension up in this server that people need to let off some steam.

An area where you can go mental and not face any consequences would be nice. Same goes for no whining if you get ganked. :D

Here's a thought...

Thousand Needles. Who the HELL goes there presently? It's small, but large enough for mobility.

Silithis. It already has world pvp setup, unless this patch broke it. Why not use what is already functioning, and add onto it?

Silithis or thousand needles could be really nice options. Might be best to remove the npc mobs though?

I will say that I think HKs should be disabled in these zones (Or maybe a daily HK cap in these zones to prevent excessive farming). However there should still be some sort of an incentive to go there for the average/casual pvper. The hardcore ones will be there anyway :P

Salt-pan flats could be really interesting too.

Zones will never work well. I was referring to actual FFA PvP zones. Having an entirely open zone just... won't go over well ever I don't think.

Ok, that makes sense. Though, Silithis used to have a decent turnout in vanilla back in the day.

What about the Arena in Nagrand? I know Guruboshi was out, there was one in Nagrand though, Ring of trials or something.

Or better yet! (I realize you said no zones, but hear me out) Hillsbrad Foothills.

Who here doesn't remember the Tarren Mill / Southshore brawl that was on retail for ages? Add a quest or two for vanquishing their 'Mayor' and/or guards, and BOOM, Hyjal's been replaced with an area that doesn't have LoS issues clear to the moon and back. You could have res points in their prospective Inns. Since the entrances is rather narrow it would relieve the threat of reskilling, as if you're getting squashed you can always just logout instantly. Adding a single Sonic Boom guard on the inside to prevent Fak and Ezatt from res farming even though it wouldn't give honor or HK. Let's face it, even without a reward you know those two would do it.

Nagrand would be the fairest of the two, but the problem is it's Outland and you can fly. Unless I figured out a way to prevent that, that is.
