Chapter 2

Post by Henhouse »

For those of you who were here last year, I posted a thread regarding my departure for University here.

That was a year ago, and it's hard to believe all that time has passed. One of the big things I mentioned in that thread last year was concerns that I would not be able to focus on Smolderforge while in school. I can clearly say after last year, it was no problem running Smolderforge last year. While it was very taxing on any extra time I had and often involved me pulling all-nighters just to insure SF's maintenance's went smoothy, it was all worth it in the end. 2nd semester of last year I made Dean's List accidentally, so, I think things will be fine.

As for this year, I was hired by the University to be an RA (Residence Assistant). Think GM, except in real life for people who live in a building. So often I will be on duty, making rounds and writing people up (bans) for violating rules. Sounds up my alley, eh? Due to this I have to return to University 10 days earlier to begin training. That means I leave tomorrow.

Thus, will begin the next year of my university career. I have begun to re-decide a lot of things in my life and I wasn't so sure about attending this next year at the same school and program I was studying under. It is possible I may take time off in the future from university, or end up transferring schools. I suppose I'll have to see what happens.

Here's to another year.

Smolderforge, made on a Mac.

It's my personal preference for day-to-day activities. I NEED UNIX to be able to perform most highly advanced tasks. No, I'm not using it to login to Facebook, I use it quite fully, and I get the most out of the power of the operating system. I love it very, very much. Without it and the programs I use on it, developing Smolderforge would not only be very tedious and long, but very annoying.

That computer to the left? That's for Windows gaming, so don't try the argument there.
