Scarlet Citadel Beta Test - Apply Here!

In the past we used to hold open betas which anyone could enter if they were online and willing. With Scarlet Citadel, however, we have found it necessary to inform people of what the beta test is actually for, what it is not for and limit the amount of people that are allowed inside to test. When we ran the second beta test for Stormwind Vault our group died on the first boss, they claimed instantly it was too hard, GM was mean, and it needs to be easy. This is why we no longer have an open beta.

But I want to let everyone know of a few things FIRST before looking into testing. Firstly, there is NO loot, we have not even started on looting templates yet so you won't even get lucky. The bosses are not 100% final, they can be changed/edited at any time. Not all of Scarlet Citadel may be accessible. It's possible we'll only allow runs for the first 2-3 bosses and not all 4.

Then what is the purpose for this beta? - It's to see how well the encounters are acting, as well as the instance as a whole and be able to change things and bugs before it's released to the public without testing.

Cool can I be in it now? - No, the beta is application only. Sounds a little silly, but it's a simple application to know who you are, if you have experience, and if you can test on a certain date.

Will you just pick random people, or actually form a group? - We'll be forming a group based on what we think is best for Scarlet Citadel. For example 3 tanks, 3 healers, 4 DPS.

How many people will you accept? - 10, it's possible more if someone cannot make it, but SC is a 10-man so we wouldn't need 11.

Can I apply with more than one character? - Yes, all characters that meet our requirements may be listed since we'll be fitting a group together.

- Requirements:

• You must have experience as a level 70 raider or above on retail.(This is not applicable to GMs or Administrators... Riski *cough, cough*)
• You must have over 1 day play time on Smolderforge.
• You must have successfully raided Stormwind Vault & Godzilla's Lair.
• You must have Tier 6 on the character of your choice to apply, or Season 3 and/or Season 4.(But tier is better for raiding anyway.)
• You must be able to access our Ventrilo sever, with or without a microphone for the test.

Whats the current setup?

Imo 2 tanks / 2 healers / 6 dps is good. Depends of the fights, might need 2 tanks and 1 offtank, perhaps a feral because they can switch to DPSing with same gear and spec.

I had 3 tanks 4 DPS 3 healers, but it's possible since I've never tested this we can have 2 years and 5 dps. Really we'll have to see.
