GMs/admins & Devs
GMs/admins & Devs
So this server really needs more GMs (in-game, not just on forums)/rank system among GMs and some actual devs. Throughout the entire day there are people asking questions, wanting to speak to a GM and spamming LFG with competing server advertisements. I've been here for about 3 weeks now and I've only seen a GM online one time. There are probably people out there that have been playing longer and have not seen any at all. I do not think this server will get very far, especially with the new wotlk realm, having hardly any "official" aid in-game.

Clearly 99.99% of the gms/devs are focused on WoTLK realm....fo so.....NOT.
If they are not visible or if they do not participate in LFG chat that doesn't mean they are not online. If you need assistance, make a ticket.

We have beta testers too, but somehow they're never online either. ^.- hint hintOverdozze wrote:the gms/devs are focused on WoTLK realm....fo so.....NOT.

There are GMs online throughout the day a lot, we just do not stay in LFG to avoid massive spamming, whispers, etc. The automated message clearly says asking for help in LFG will NOT get you help. We cannot service people accurately that way. Ticket, forums, email are all very simple ways people can seek help. If we opened whispered and just said whisper us randomly when you feel like it, it would be total chaos. We have to have organization to help us to help you.

Can you list the names of the currently active GMs? How many are there? Just curious.

Ah right! GMs do not act publicly I forgot, that must be why people can spam advertisements for hours! I must of had a memory lapse for a moment. Also, what about devs? When's the last time a noticeable bug has been fixed?

Developers don't grow on trees. Have you noticed? It's not easy to just find someone who has very knowledgeable programming experience, experience in the WoW private server community, and with the cores, AND wants to dedicate his or her time to writing fixes for a server community and going through the many hours of trial and error.jetlife wrote:Ah right! I don't think many people understand just how long, tedious and painstaking programming really is.

Oh I do! I'm learning C# as we speak, but I'm trying to point out is that it doesn't seem like there is much effort to find any. There are no dev apps at all. The GM app thread is pretty active, although I hardly see any new GMs active on the forums, neither in-game which causes me to believe that either the applicants are shit or there is no desire to hire any new GMs. This is one of the only TBC fun servers around, and I believe it could grow greatly but I see a lot of disappointment from other players in LFG. I would like that to change.Henhouse wrote:Developers don't grow on trees. Have you noticed?
