Why donor food should be returned to the donor mall.
Re: Why donor food should be returned to the donor mall.
I'm guessing next you'll be removing the floating mount since that wasn't on retail either.
Oh well, I'm not fussed. I mean, not having the food actually makes me stronger in BGs since 1) I hardly ever go OOM and 2) other casters can't poly/freeze me and eat.
I was making a fuss purely because I was confused over why it had to be removed now. Henhouse's decision to remove it was that by giving it to non-donors it would create a lot of drama, when the practical solution is actually to leave it as it was before, when nobody moaned about it. The people moaning about $5 donators need to suck it.
Anyway, that's the last I'll be posting here. It was fun. Peekaboo you still didn't answer my question, and you should mind who you call a scrub seeing as how last time I saw you I recall killing you and watching you rage-quit afterwards. Maybe that's why you have such a problem with me and Shockadins in general. I think so.

These are the reasons we removed it.Xaru wrote:1) I hardly ever go OOM and 2) other casters can't poly/freeze me and eat.
As for your question, "why now?" many people seem to wonder this as well. The real answer is that I simply never thought about how much of an impact it had on the game. Really, that food has been in there forever and it wasn't until a player mentioned how much it changes PvP gameplay did I realize it's been a mistake for all this time. It speeds up PvP too much, which when you think about it, in the LONG run of things it probably helps things like BG over-powerment, graveyard farming, etc. Because it allows players (and teams) to VERY quickly trample over everything in its path.
In regards to the floating mount, that could be considered as well. The donor mounts are seriously used as a donor validation now. Because the donor system wasn't implemented until 2010, and wasn't PROPERLY revised to store character information on claiming until early 2011, I cannot remove the mounts and still validate donors---that's why they exist. I could drop the flying one and still have validated donors I suppose with the DNT mount. If people want me to, I will, but I don't see it being gamebreaking. ANY engineer could craft a parachute cloak, ANY mage could buff them with slow fall to do the same thing. I don't see it being a problem at this time.

Re: Why donor food should be returned to the donor mall.
Well I'm with Xaru , that the food was great , and made things more dynamic in battlegrounds . I don't have "all for donors " attitude , so I think it should be put in a mall , and buyable for honor . That will give donators and ppl who have s3 and can't/won't donate something to spend honor on . Spending honor => making people actually want to win a bg , and not Zerg ...
Re: Why donor food should be returned to the donor mall.
I put the lowest prices of Badges on it the game allows me to, and people freaked shit. So I removed it completely to shut them up. It's possible I will readd it one day for honor, but the intention was to make it EXPENSIVE, luxury food. But people didn't understand why I put a high price on it and complained, thus resulting in me removing it.banzai wrote:Well I'm with Xaru , that the food was great , and made things more dynamic in battlegrounds . I killed a Rogue called Peekaboo. If that's not you and you play actively on the server then who is your main? If you don't have one then why do you comment on the forums at all?

I'm going to go ahead and guess that you're Palette? If not then who? This is fun. :)Peekaboo wrote:Ofc I do. We're actually friends ingame.
No, but I saw an Undead Rogue called Peekaboo and he played like an 80's dancer trying to do the robot so I was like hm, for somebody who has such opinions on the server he sure plays like a retard. That's why it stood out.Peekaboo wrote:Don't tell me you had a great time after you killed that Rogue, haha.

I really dont understand why the people not donating complaining about? i mean if they are so cheap that they cant even pay 5$ to get the gear and food its just sad.. and sure the food was op but it havent been an issue before so why would it be an issue now? its just those new cheap players who does nothing for the server and get pwned by ppl who can actually play etc and blames the food.. Henhouse you must admit the food havent been a problem for the time it have been available have it?
