No, we did not donate. We bought bonuses for our characters. 99.99% of the people who donated would not have if those bonuses were not there. It's only technically a donation for legal reasons (I think).

Sometimes this server seems like it's confused if it's a fun-server or a retail-like server. You donate for S4.. but then you have to farm for Sunwell items. You farm for Sunwell items.. but some of them require another donation.

As for the donor food, it should have never been removed. It should have just stayed where it is giving donors less downtime in PvP. I don't see the dilemma since it never upset non-s4 people before. Whoever is advising you on these changes aren't the right people to ask, or maybe they're just yes men. Maybe possible changes should be voted for on the forums before going ahead to avoid problems like this again.

It does upset non-s4 people to get farmed at the GY's multiply times in a row this was so easily doable thanks to the Graccu's Fruit Cake and OP gear. It's a good thing that the cakes finally got removed. It's more Blizzlike and of course it takes longer to regen now but oh well get used to it, that's how Blizzard intented it in this patch.

A donation is a gift given by physical or legal persons, typically for charitable purposes and/or to benefit a cause. The benefit you are getting out of this is that the server gets updates, maintaince, improvements and is online. The gear, vanity items and fruit cakes (now removed) were something extra that you'll could get and he got rid of those fruit cakes now because you could stack them with normal food and get full mana in like 8 seconds? I don't think that's fair for the starters that need to sit at least 30 seconds drinking to get full mana (and they also have less mana since they are starter geared).

My point is though, the people donating do so for the items, not to help the server. So it should be treated like a purchase, at least in my eyes.

Well yeah most of the people do but everyone got his own reason, I really did not donate just for the gear of course it is something nice extra but I mean I just donate randomly too sometimes for example:

I bought Aldor reputation but after I bought it I realized it was the wrong one and I needed Scryers instead. Now I could open up a ticket a bitch about it to Henhouse or send him a lot of PM's on skype about change my Aldor rep to Scryers, but really since I care about our server and since I had the money for it anyways I was like fuck it I just donate again for it. So I actually donated $16 dollar for 1x reputation really I don't mind how much money I spend on this server I'm just trying to help out with pumping some money in it. I'm not sure if it will really improve the server or Henhouse keeps it. I don't know and I don't mind to be honest..

I only know that it cost money to keep a server up and I'm willing to donate and help with that as much as possible.
