This turned oh so very juicy. Before HW/GM was raised to 50k, I was about 1k away from getting Grand Marshal, and sure, when it was raised, I was a bummed out for a quick minute, but It's just a aesthetic feature. There is no real difference from Field Marshal to Grand. It doesn't make you a better player. So I just said 'Whatever'. It's not that big of a deal to me.

If something as trivial and silly as this is twisting everyones pannies, then I'm all for disabling it, even temporary, just until all of the little girls that are complaining about it, to calm down, and shut the fuck up.

Bushganking is almost as low as gy farming. Almost.

This was such a ridiculous splooge of arguments that I finally had time to read.

The problem with titles, or so I have heard, is that "hardcore" players are farming GY and making the game un fun for "casual" players. Now, whether you are "hardcore" or "casual" if someone is making a game un fun for you they should not be rewarded. Ever. The fact is that making the titles so high tempts people to grind honor so much that they end up hurting the server. The reaction we want from lowering the cap is the exact one FAK and other "veteren" players have given: 20k is nothing. If 20k is nothing then it's not worth farming HKs daily or GY camping.

Imperium is right when he says that increasing the HK does not make the title harder to achieve. All we can do is make it take longer. Do not confuse difficulty with length. It does make you a "veteran" to have taken all that time to grind the HKs so I understand why FAK and others may consider themselves veterans, they are. But no one specified what kind of veteran. If you were a veteran of helping the server grow, contributing to the community, or making sure everyone has fun then yay! You are the veteran we want. However, if you are a veteran of camping GY and HK farming off of people who are trying to have fun by playing normally than you are not the veteran we want. Please keep that in mind for the future. We do not want part of our server to thrive off the suffering of the other parts. Sacrificing casual players' fun will never be worth giving hardcore players something to work for, and as such implementing changes that cause casual players' to suffer will not stay.

And as a personal statement towards FAK, do not think that because you are a veteran you are special. While having the time played and the HKs you have does make you experienced and a well known player, it does not give you the right to demand that we give you special treatment. Play like a normal player because that is what you are, and that is what everyone else should be. Veterans should show character and demonstrate leadership to the "newbies." You are complaining about a reverse on a feature that hurt a lot of players, and whether or not the reverse will hurt you should not matter because it is more important to rectify a mistake than cater the ones that benefited from it. I would hope that someone with your play time and experience would understand putting the server first before oneself, but it seems that you have decided to value your personal time invested more than other newcomers and for that you deserve no special treatment.

I just wanted to say that these once again were wise words of you Riski but I want to add to it that I helped out a lot of newcomers on this server. I think I helped like 50 - 100 priests (also other classes) to start off with their character (gear, spec, tactics) and they were all grateful for it. Also I think that I motivate a lot of players with my character because for a lot of players my character seems like and 'idol' and that gives them the motivation and inspiration to keep playing on our server.

Also whenever there are questions or issues in the LFG, I usually jump in and help them out as well.

I'm really trying the best I can to help this server grow because I don't want it to die out.
