Re: Warrior Rage Generation
Maybe rage generation was bugged here before and is it working as intended now :). The only thing that Darkgroom has fixed are all of the warrior talents, he didn't changed anything else.
If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you..

All we did was transfer world database and we brought all spell related things with us from the previous one :\.Taurgar wrote:December 24th, 2011Darkgroom wrote:Someone got a little date on when this started to happen?

Re: Warrior Rage Generation
Are you guys hitting the dummies? Something is wrong with the dummies and you get like 5-6 times less rage than normal. I still think theres some problem with the rage tho, but it might be just that anger management(the talent) got bugged. It was working before and now it doesn't.
Re: Warrior Rage Generation
Formulae Edit
For the purposes of the formulae presented, we define R to be the rage generated; d, the damage amount; c, the rage conversion value; s, the weapon speed; and f, the hit factor.
Rage is generated by successful autoattack swings ('white' damage) that damage an opponent. Special attacks ('yellow' damage) do not generate rage.[1]
R = 15xd / 4xc + fxs / 2
This essentially means that very low damage attacks have a limit on how much they can be averaged up by the f*s component of the equation.[1] It also means that a crit roughly doubles both damage and f, and thus roughly doubles rage gained as expected.
Rage is also generated whenever you receive damage from an opponent (not environmental damage), with:
R= 5/2 x d/c
Hit factorEdit
The hit factor (f) is a multiplier based on the type of hit you perform on your target. The values are:
Hit factor Weapon Hit type f
Main Hand Normal Hit 3.5
Main Hand Critical Hit 7.0
Off Hand Normal Hit 1.75
Off Hand Critical Hit 3.5
Historical note: Starting in 2.0.1 but prior to 2.0.10, these numbers were smaller. f for a main-hand normal hit prior to 2.0.10, for example, was 2.5.
Rage conversion valueEdit
The Rage Conversion Value (c) varies by player character level and is derived from other values within the game such as a mob's hit points and a warrior's expected damage value against that mob.
Conversion value for certain levels Player Level c
10 37.4
20 72.4
30 109.3
40 147.9
50 188.3
60 230.6
65 252.4
70 274.7
80 453.3[1]
The formula for calculating (c) is (up to level 70):
c=0.0091107836 \cdot \mbox{Level}^2 + 3.225598133 \cdot \mbox{Level} + 4.2652911
(WowWiki)
So i made some math. I hit with my warrior with a normal hit like 1.2k. It means,that will give me a 19-20 rage.The rage generation is surely bugged,because it gives just 6-7 (!!!!!!!) rage

Re: Warrior Rage Generation
Bump.
Still broken. also no point in doing your testing on the target dummy's as their stats scale to the bullshit regiment. Hitting anything with a shield your lucky to get 9 a crit "13 if your specced endless rage" only way a warrior gets rage as of the moment is if people are hitting him. saying that if your trying to solo some one like a holy pally u might as-well run away. fix please?
::EDIT
Just played a Eots where i came across a lovely shaman in s2. needless to say i couldn't even keep mortal strike up on him because i was not getting enough rage even with totems hitting me and the occasional frost shock to my face . having to have a toss up do i pummel or keep ms up? well it would have been amazing if that was the case but my 11/100 rage bar did not think so. it doesnt really matter about gear as-well as i kited out of combat and put my pve gear on went back to him and still the rage was like sucking water from a stone.
If you scroll through WCM timeline to 2.4.3 and check videos of warriors of the era that SF Is currently on you will see a warriors rage bar jumping like a spring lamb and why warriors used to use slam to dump their rage they had that much? well if i were lucky....
