Why would you link a "proof" video that is patch 3.3.3?

Also we have some updates to the guardian system coming in soon. I haven't tested to see what all it fixes yet.

Because currently the Elemental's health, intellect and armor does not scale at all with what we have, so i just put in proof that it indeed does. Altough it may be the wrong patch, percentage values won't be that much different anyways.

It's not only a different patch, but a different expansion.

But you could be right for all I know, cba to dig for patch notes and theorycrafting math myself.

Quote from Patch 2.1 Notes:

Water Elemental: This pet will now come into the game with full health and mana, including that gained from a percentage of its master's stamina and intellect.

So all i did was quickly search some actual values, and I only found those off 3.3.

Checked around real quick myself but can't seem to find how it scaled back in TBC. Pets do scale, you're right about that. Or well, they should do. The Hunter pet scaling formula is fairly easy to find, but as you said, finding any scaling formula for the elemental pre-3.3 seems to be a pain.

However, you're right about the absorption bug, though you have Mage Armor active at the screen shot.

As said, didn't search around all that much. Might get back to it if no one else beats me to it.

Did some more digging... found 2 Sites mentioning the same Values for Water Elementals in Burning Crusade:

"Your Elemental’s stats will scale with the gear you have on. He will receive 30% of your Intellect and Stamina. Each point of Intellect will increase his mana by 5, and each point of Stamina will increase his health by 7.5."

Great work on the scaling fix!
But the elemental still doesnt follow, be on passive and doesnt have icebolt on autocast (which is broken too) after summoning it.
You have to do it manually or have macros for it.
The autocasting doesnt do shit, the elemental, if ordered to attack, just runs to the target and autoattacks.

Did this break with the updates, or has it been like this for a while?

The water elemental I'm pretty certain has the cast bar, are you saying it no longer does? I know it's auto cast is completely broken at the moment.

A solution, which I have actually done before which isn't a hack fix, but it's merely a work-around is to simply script the NPC as if it was a boss or something. (well not a boss script, but a scripted NPC) to just immediately start casting, etc, etc.

But a few questions before I do that again. Does it immediately starts auto casting, yes? It also always casts within range? Or does it try running to its target at the same time? Is the cast range unlimited, or is there a limit?
