actually, that gnome was me, and this was not a faction hack, and the person who posted this isnt telling half the story. We dueled, an out of bounds occured, and as anyone who plays on this server and duels can tell you, aoe's and white melee attacks will still function, even after duel ends, if the duel ends from out of bounds. I actually did not attack him, until he white attacked me and called me retard (which you can see at the top of his chat log), so, in retaliation, i blizzarded him to death.

Personally, i dont see why someone would report such an issue, since its so petty and frivolous as to be ridiculous. I cant imagine anyone's feelings being so hurt over this.

If you honestly think i was hacking, then i dont know what to tell you, but try what i said. Get out of bounds and have the duel end that way, and aoe.... it will do damage. I've personally been killed this way before, and i've never cried about it, as there is ways to avoid it, annnnd ultimately... its a game.

Anyhow, with this, i request to be unbanned.

I honestly believe the only reason he reported me is because he lost repeatedly and is mad. You can see that Roleplay's name is in the chat. Ask him what happened. Also, Im going to subtly refer to this http://www.smolderforge.com/forums/view ... =12&t=1463

If i was faction hacking, I would of gladly killed his character repeatedly, but you'll find thats not the case >>.

I was not completely aware that this was a bug, and not faction hacking. However, it's pretty obvious that your not suppose to be able to kill somebody after a duel. Yet you choose to keep abusing the bug instead of stopping. In my opinion, a hacker is no different then a bug abuser, both are trying to accomplish the same thing. You found a bug, and choose to abuse it. Bug abuse itself in my opinion is enough to warrant a permanent account closure...

Actually, in game i informed you it was a bug, and not a faction hack, and as i said, you melee attacked me first and called me retard, so, i choose to abuse the bug. Normally i would not do this. Not sure why you overreacted to having to wait 30 seconds to res. I dueled you repeatedly, and many others, and i did not do this, until, as i said, you white attacked me and called me a retard.

I had no way of knowing you unwittingly attacked me with the bug, or purposefully, but since i saw you abused it, i replied in kind.

also, seeing as how its entirely avoidable (dont duel the person... derp), and it realistically harms noone whatsoever, aside from maybe an epeen, i really dont understand why this should be a bannable offense. Now say, i found a bug that increased my damage in arena by like 50% or whatever or made me immune... ya, sure bannable.

And as for the accusation of a bug abuser? that seems to fit someone who does this consistently, and with no provocation, yet this has already been discussed.

Some staff members are trying to replicate this bug, in the various tries made they haven't had any luck.

If the case was usage of third party programs to allow faction hacking the account will remain permanently closed, if the staff members are able to replicate the bug then the decision will be on Henhouse.

We do not tolerate hackers and we don't tolerate bug abusers either. The fact that he attacked you first (with hack/bug abusing) doesn't give you the right to abuse it too. You could have reported him instead of getting yourself in this situation.

Please refrain from posting in this thread if you are not involved in the case or you don't have anything smart to say.

Its easy to replicate. start a duel. Run out of bounds while targeting the person you are dueling, when the duel ends due to out of bounds, aoe them. works virtually every time.

I personally dont report anyone for something frivolous, so no, i wouldn't nor will ever report anyone. This is obviously a petty issue.

The fact that you could even seriously consider this as bug abuse is ridiculous, as if i was some mastermind criminal killing everyone in the game. It was a one time, retaliatory thing, that virtually didnt affect anyone in any real way. No rating was lost, nor honor, or any sort of gear. I guess by definition, its a bug, and ya, i used it.... but really? banning? For virtually nothing? I did nothing gamebreaking whatsoever.

To be entirely honest, i didn't expect anyone would cry so hard about it. If i knew it was going to upset him and hurt his feelings so much, i wouldn't of even bothered interacting with him in the first place. on top of that, if i knew it was such a grievous and bannable offense, i wouldnt of retaliated, and just screenshotted him doing it. But truth be told, if everyone reported frivolous bullshit because their panties were in a wad, your userbase would probably be halved, as ive seen quite a bit of bug abuse myself.

whats beyond me, is there was no real investigation into the matter, nor warnings given. It was, oh he has a screenshot, UNDENIABLE VILLIANRY ON AN APOCALYPTIC SCALE! THIS GUY IS A TERRORIST, DESTROYING SMOLDERFORGES COMMUNITY! no questions or anything, to me, or the reporter, or anyone there.

at the very worst, you could consider this griefing... anything else, and i just dont understand. Id be even willing to take a few day ban as a warning, because at least thats reasonable.
