Macs are not worth the money. If you have ANY self respect and you like to play games (or edit videos / pictures, surprise macfags, you can do both JUST AS GOOD with both operation systems!) you'd definitely go for non-mac pc.

But if you really insist on having an image of a bitten apple on your monitor, by all means buy it. Just keep in mind, while your $1300 Mac is struggling to run any demanding games, I'll be laughing at you while my $800 PC runs them perfectly.

edit: oh yeah. Trying to have a rational debate/conversation with a mac user is almost worse than with a christian.

I prefer my mac laptop for any work I have to do and for school because it is more user friendly and will last longer. I built a ~700 dollar desktop for all my games because my mac had difficulty running them without getting extremely hot. So yes, for gaming I would say PC is better only because I could of gotten an alienware laptop for less than my macbook and it would have run games fine.

However, I've run into far less problems with a mac and any problem I had were easily fixed where as windows has continuously had problems that it "said" it would troubleshoot and fix but in the end I always ended up having to search for a way to fix it myself.

In the category of gaming only I would say windows wins, everything else macs got it, imo.

Apple for Iphone and Windows for a computer and Firefox for a browser!

If you build a computer you can get a much better gamer friendly cpu for a better price due to compatibility with steam games and all games and platforms in general

also for me spotify > Itunes

I don't have a "bad experience" with Apple. Its just a FACT that their computers are WAY overpriced. I will not pay $1300 for a computer just to have an Apple logo on it (you can get pretty much the same programs on windows as you can on OSX + you have WAY more customization on windows), when I could get better components for $800 (or possibly even less).

You can't really compare Spotify to iTunes. Sure, they both play music but the way they function is way different. Last time I checked, you could add your own songs to your iTunes playlist, and the rest you did not have on your PC had to be bought individually. In Spotify, you pay (5€ for unlimited, 10€ for premium) per month and you can listen to every song in the program without individually buying albums/songs.

Correct me if I'm wrong about the iTunes, I haven't used it since the first iPods.

Please note that I am not deliberately trying to offend Mac users, people just tend to get over-defensive over something they like when its being criticized by someone.

We close "best of" threads but we don't close these... I wonder why, if the logic behind closing those is to prevent heated debates...

Possible because this doesn't directly involve people and personal attacks against them. Best of topics often times result in people arguing about who sucks and who doesn't. As long as no personal attacks are made I don't think it will be too bad, but if people start attacking someone who doesn't agree with them then it's time to stop.
