One of the problems with having extremely large uptime and archiving deleted characters is that the character database never has the change to really clean itself when it boots up, or when we do maintenance. So we have a large amount of overflowing data of deleted characters so it was causing a hand at loading the mail system (we need to really modify mail system) and I'm having to do an emergency database cleanup. Pretty much purging all deleted character's data -- roughly 30,000 characters probably.

I do understand and respect that this is a time consuming process but I was looking for the TL;DR version! :)
