You don't have to understand it right now., you will have to when I spoken with Henry about this and we made a decision about a new way to check everything to make it more balanced,

In 2 weeks I will have one week vacation and I will use that to rewrite the Battleground / Arena manager so it will work better, have more performance and is a lot more balanced.

That's not respectful at all in my opinion. After all the bug fixes Darkgroom already did here (not to even mention he does it all in his free-time for FREE). Srsly some people should learn to have some respect on these forums before they start bragging, I didn't expected that from you Zat.

Darkgroom got a lot of experience for his age, show some respect instead. I'm pretty sure he ain't messing up everything because this guy knows what he's doing. And I already think he did an tremendous job here.

Also like he said before IF he does that kind of changes he needs to talk with Henhouse about it first and I'm pretty sure IF he makes changes to the arena or battleground system everyone will get an announcement about it.

I agree he's doing a great job, no doubt. But I kind of doubt he's experianced enough arena-wise. I'd love him to correct me if im wrong. What I saw him writing about his arena changes was simply not a good idea.

I have some experience in arena from cataclysm, currently Retail also balance their arena team matches and if I am right it is based on the Item level but I'm not sure they do it with rating comparison.

Again, I do this development in my free time, and I actually work on the server whenever i have spare time.
Don't go crazy on me because I just made a suggestion, I will of course release a lot of information and I will ask a lot of questions before i release content, look to the spam system / the visual character, I even made video's for this.

So just chill out and don't worry, I won't fuck up anything, I never will.
I can stop with this project whenever I want, so please stay mature and give me some respect and don't freak out.

All I'm saying is implementing any type of MMR will just make it impossible for high rated teams to beat whoever's at r1 these days will just sit there with r1 and collect it at the end of the season, and so will pretty much all of the top 5 teams, resulting in no competition, if you want to fix arena bugs that's fine, but I'd focus on class specific bugs for the team being if it was me, however you're free to do what you want; but if you mess up arena that's a chunk of the server that will probably not play here until it's working again, so please be careful.
The only time you'd have a chance at r1 would be the first day of the season, and they'd just play to like 2k and then not queue again.

MMR is not only based on one team it's based on all of the arena teams you make. Here's an explanation: http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/720 ... ing-Rating

This is good because for example someone that got an 2000 team or is 2000 experienced will only meet people of the same MMR rating even if they have 1500.

Also what you just described here is exactly what happens at the moment. Someone rushes rank 1 in the first weeks of the season then never queus up until the end of the season to collect the last points (through dodging counters prolly). If MMR is implemented you will meet only players at your own level which makes it more fair for beginners.

ONLY I do not know if it is possible to implement MMR since it was introduced in season 5.
