Unable to create a character

Just as the title states, I'm unable to get past the character creation screen. The following window pops up every god damn time I attempt to create a character ._.

Character creation on this realm is currently disabled. Please try again at a later date or create a character on a different realm.

I get to pick a race/gender and dabble with different features, but whenever I hit enter that message feels like it has to make itself noticed and prevent me from playing.

Is this intended for an update or something of the likes? I've checked the forums and I'm fairly confident that nothing slipped under my radar. There also seems to be players online atm, at least according to the online list. But then again, I got no idea how accurate those are nowadays. (It seems to be operating and working properly though, the list being updated every time I hit the F5 button and refresh the page.)

I'm also pretty sure that I've installed and patched it correctly, since I'm able to connect to the server and actually log on to the character selection screen.

If it helps, this is my very first visit to the Smolderforge realms. I'm also residing in EU, Sweden if that has anything to do with the matter or the root of the issue.

Plox hurry, I need to get me a new dose of TBC :(

if its horde, the horde character creation is temporarely closed so youll have to make an alliance
