Gets a bit boring sitting around the server. Either battlegrounds or Arena (unless you want to PvE...) and if you need to dailies, but that only takes up 30 minutes.
Maybe open up another world PvP location such as guru arena where its a FFA section (yes i know people will team etc but yeah). Make it 24/7 as well unlike Hyjal, so its always available for people to even just chill out there.
Just an idea just write your opinions below I guess.
Guru Arena
Re: Guru Arena
Yeah definitely an open pvp arena with very little space and no LoS will be enjoyed by many!

Re: Guru Arena
Its still a good idea to have something to do while just /afking...too bad it will take ages to make a portal to Guru huh >.>
Re: Guru Arena
I never understood in the first place why Hyjal is closed for better part of the day now.
It was so much better back when it was open 24-7. People could try and attack enemy base whenever they wanted, or duel / hang out and chat.
Someone was telling me that it's because of horde often overwhelming the ally base and camping there.
Well that's completely absurd.. That has nothing to do with "opening hours" of Hyjal. If it's going to happen it will simply happen whenever Hyjal is open. The real cause of this is the global problem of this server - imbalanced population. I was thinking about this a lot and i couldn't think of a solution for the pop. problem. Unless enough people in here grow brain enough to realize that the server needs to be balanced for a good gameplay it'll be almost impossible to solve this. Sigh.. we must keep in mind this game is played mainly by small kids i guess... But closing down hyjal just because of some crybabies who /ragequit when ally base is camped does not solve anything.
It's an equivalent of "fixing" a bugged spell by simply disabling it.. *cough* Sweeping Strikes *cough*.

Re: Guru Arena
Here's why it was closed.
Raids of people who farmed 3-5 ungeared chars.
This was on 80 Wrath however, where you get Marks pr kill.

Re: Guru Arena
On TBC you get pretty much nothing for a keel
And even if you got some tokens gain from farming 3-5 people would be hardly anything
definitely not something to merit closing down the whole thing .....
And again... this has nothing to do with "opening hours" of hyjal. It has to do with stupidity of players.
