Actually a crab is useful against like warriors and possibly rogues because crabs use hamstring. And birds disarm and uh scorpions poison the target.

More usefull addons:
Afflicted - Tracks cooldowns such as Intercept, Viper Sting, etc. And tracks buff durations like Power Infusion, Pain suppresion, Bubble, BoF, BoP...
Focus Frame - write /focus on target.
CC Tracker.
DR Tracker.

Really nice effort on this. Hunter is one of the hardest class for people to learn generally due to the survivability. Crippling poison / hamstring and it can sometimes almost be all over if your CD's are all on timer.

2.Hunters have a really nice survivability. You have enough cd's to remain untouched for alot of time.
