Critical Error

Post by Imperium »

Yeah so.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
World of WarCraft (build 8606)

Exe: C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\Wow.exe
Time: Dec 5, 2010 12:36:34.883 AM
User: JASON
Computer: JASON-VAIO
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This application has encountered a critical error:

ERROR #134 (0x85100086) Fatal Condition
Program: C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\Wow.exe

Failed to read data.

WoWBuild: 8606

That's what I get when I get to about 60% of the load screen. Was just in the mall walking towards the battlemaster portal when it happened, can't log in.

There seems to be some file corrupt or so - Have you tried to repair your WoW?

If the repair has been unsuccessful then try the following:

1. Make sure any Internet Security Programs have been setup correctly, to avoid it interfering with World of Warcraft.
2. Run a Scandisk and Defrag the Hard Disk - http://eu.blizzard.com/support/article. ... leId=19390
3. Check that you have the latest chipset drivers installed for your Motherboard

ps. You can use a program called Prime 95 to check for errors on the RAM which can be downloaded here:

Well, I found it strange because I had no backround programs open except Firefox, which, has never affected WoW at all.

EDIT: Fix'd.
