Poll: PvP Titles

As you might have known, in our upcoming PreBC server we're going to bring back the old PvP title ranking system. While we're sure this is a highly anticipated feature, we've had a few requests that it be added into the current Smolderforge for level 70. While I said that I believed it would take away from the experience of the PreBC realm to start bringing unique features off of it to Smolderforge I would rather see what the community would have to say about this.

So please vote which you'd rather see.

Well, it would be great addition in my opinion. Right now, when a guy (or girl) creates their character, they stop achieving new things (like getting a new item) in a very short time (possibly within one day already).

You start up by farming your gear, which is somewhat fast, you can get your full season 3 within 1 day.
Once their character is geared up, they have basicly 3 things to do:
1: Arena. Arena players keeps trying to climb the rating to the top, so they can get the end of the season arena title rewards.
2: Battlegrounds. You can buy PVP mounts for honor, not much else. Arena gives titles, why shouldn't battlegrounds give?
3: Keep doing PvE. This one is quite limited and rare option but, still possible. Probably the most rewarding once SC gets opened again so you can get some sunwell gear.


The titles would add people a better reason to keep BGing, since you would always (except when you're top rank, not anytime soon though) have a new rank to climb towards.

Just my (biased :|) opinion though.

I played before coming here on a pvp server. There was this thing too, prebc titles, jesus that was nice. Good players getting in BG for titles might help others to get some BOJ. So yeah, go for it. It's something different, better, why not? Can't wait until prebc server is on, like old times baby.

There is no ETA on season end currently.

After reading your Pre-BC post, I'd like to keep the title rankings for Vanilla only, because it's a major part of the game knowing you gained a rank up, I'm not saying that shouldn't be shared with the TBC realm, just saying it'll make it less... Rewarding.

I just think it degrades the experience. NO ONE in Wrath appreciates the old level 60 raids now on retail. They can just 5-man them and be like "lol easy". No one now with it being that easy would want PreBC realms to have to raid that "lol easy" stuff really hard with 40 people. Same reason I won't bring PreBC raid content to level 70 Smolderforge. You'd have people doing Molten Core on there for fun and would not even consider trying the real hard-mode on the PreBC realm.

A feature so cool as the title rank(same reason you want them on 70 server) would simply take away from the uniqueness of the PreBC server. If you have 10k kills on Smolderforge, why now have to play PreBC and show off your title when you can show off your title on the level 70 realm? It would discourage people from playing and getting that "rewarding" experience like Imperium says.
