I do not think Rogues are overpowered. Let us enjoy TBC as we remember it, with all the items that we had on retail.

Easy for a shockadin to say, you will still beat rogues. For hunters and all casters it's gg. Controlling items is the only way we can balance SF and imo it is ok.

I'm playing ret atm. It's fair vs. Rogues, I still win vs. them so obviously they're not that OP. Anyone who is equally geared and good at their class can beat Rogues, and regardless of whether they're OP or not, Warglaives will not make a huge difference.

Its retarded, no doubt. SWP rogues will shred even hpalas in noodles. HY passive+haste meta+melee haste trinket. Nearly impossible to do something as caster, especially if rogue know what he do and plays in 3+ poisons.

I am not doubting that you are a good ret, but a good rogue should never lose to a ret pally more than 15% of the time (unless consumables/eng are involded). Garrotte/rupture ->cheapshot opener, into full stun-lock, that is the paly down to 30% hp in the opener.

Imo all these classes already cannot beat a good rogue more than 15%, taking into account equal high skill level on both sides.

Ench/Ele shaman, hunter of all specs, Priests of all specs, Balance druid, Warlock of all specs. That is a pretty strong counter list imo, and glaives will make it worst. Ofc if the rogue is mediocre/bad then that does not matter.

Are you sure? The damage shows up as being better for me using Apolyon, or is it in combination with skills that it strips them out? I don't believe you. :P

Riski wrote:The OP clearly stated that rogues very clearly counter spell casting classes such as mage, warlock, etc. This is a fact, rogues have always been strong against spell casters. The same thing goes for warriors. They have always been stronger than rogues. Warriors>Rogues, Rogues>Casters that is something we can all agree on, hopefully. That being said, there is no reason to buff rogues because they are beaten by warriors. That would be like me taking off my pants and taking a large dump all of the caster classes because we are going to acknowledge the fact that warriors shouldn't be so strong against rogues but casters should just suck it up.

Lastly, on retail warglaives were rare to see. It's not like you ran into the same people all the time. Unfortunately, this is a private server and the population is far lower than that of retail servers during TBC. This means that if even a single rogue got warglaives you would probably see that rogue all the time when they were online pvping. That's just one rogue. Now imagine 10-20 rogues all having warglaives. They would be everywhere. You could expect every competent rogue to be rocking glaives, which means every time a caster sees a rogue hes probably going to die. Now for arena it might not be fair that warriors dominate the way they do, but its not fair to the general public that we buff a class and further crush 2-4 others in the process.
You're completely missing the point. This is a melee dominant server. I'd say 60-70% of the server play a melee class, aside from holy paladins, resto druids, and discs priests, nobody really plays caster classes. No one plays warlock here, which is what rogues counter. Few play mages, even though a good mage and rogue are on even playing fields. Resto druid's are extremely powerful against rogues since vile poisons doesn't work. Warriors are extremely overpowered with the overproccing and non DR'ing mace stun, hunter's have thoridal. If battlegrounds is your issue, than make warglaives only usable in arena. Most of the top teams are rogue/druid, druid/warrior, hunter/druid, etc. Druid/warrior, shaman/warrior being very dominant. I have not seen 1 warlock team in arena, and only 2 or 3 mage teams. It's just a clusterfuck of melee classes, rogues being at the very bottom of that totem pole.

The damage range should actually be higher for Brutal, because it's slower (3.6 vs 3.3), DPS however is higher for Apolyon.
I have no clue about Ret, but shouldn't they use a slower weapon because of ppm for SoC (and higher damage as this shit derives its value from the damage range)?

Well hence you are a paladin, You want the slowest speed possioble, Slow speed = Harder white hits and more seal of command procs, Wich means, Brutal IS better, imo and any good retri paladin should know that 3.33 speed as retri is WAAAY to fast. As a warrior Brutal sword is better because;

As said white hits/crits will be higher due to slower speed, The brutal wep also gives you higher top end dmg. Brutal wins over apylon. I have researched this and tested it myself and i know for a fact that the brutal sword is better.
