That man knew his job, and the same should be applied to Smolderforge."Users are good at pointing out the problems, but not at providing solutions for them"
Steve Jobs.
Why?
Because whatever the subject is there will always be a group of people who will complain about it, ALWAYS ABOUT ANYTHING.
Some people want AV removed, some want EOTS removed, some want some potions removed, some want some gear removed, and the list goes on and on and on...
If Henhouse was to listen to every player or group of players he could just delete the entire server, people will always cry that this or that is OP, and if you remove on thing they will just switch to crying about something else.
Blizzard never removed something from retail only because people were crying about it, they conducted internal testings and if they belived something had to be changed then they changed it, there is a reason for it.
Players are a key part of the server and feedback is welcome, but users should never run the business.
There is a point where WOW isn't WOW anymore, there is a point where changes should stop because we are not making a new game here.
Running a server is like running a startup, and dam Steve Jobs had a good point.
So many things have changed over the last year (I'm here for about 3 years), and after all this balancing and "improvements" we ended up with a huge population loss, think about it.
