Quest: "Quenching the Blade" Bug

What is the bug?
You cannot loot the item to complete the quest after using the provided questitem.

Is it a spell or database issue? (database relates to any NPC, quest or item)
It's a bugged quest and therefore a database issue.

How can you reproduce it?
It occurs everytime you use the questitem.

Please describe, in detail what is suppose to occur when this bug happens:
You're supposed to throw the questitem into the scalding pools and then be able to loot the Quenched Illidari-Bane Blade (http://www.wowhead.com/item=30876) out of it to complete the quest.

Please describe, in detail what happens when it bugs up, and how it's malfunctioning:
Although you're throwing the questitem in the right location you cannot interact with it making it impossible to recieve the desired item to complete the quest.
