Faerie Fire (Feral)

Hiya, I looked through several pages and didn't notice this one mentioned anywhere, so here goes.

What server is this on? TBC

What is the bug? The talent Faerie Fire (Feral) spends no talent points the second and subsequent times you talent into it.

Is it a spell or database issue? Spell. I believe this is an issue with the talent not properly giving all applicable ranks to the spell. When you re-talent into Faerie Fire (Feral) it only gives you rank 5, instead of all 5 ranks. As such it doesn't list that you spent a talent point because you didn't receive rank 1 of this spell.

How can you reproduce it?

1) Create a Druid
2) Spend points in the Feral talent tree up to and including Faerie Fire (Feral)
3) Talk to a Druid trainer to up your Faerie Fire (Feral) spell rank
4) Reset your Talent points
5) Spend points in the Feral talent tree up to and including Faerie Fire (Feral)

From this you will notice that no point goes into the Faerie Fire (Feral) talent, though you get the spell for Faerie Fire (Only rank 5, not ranks 1-4). Note that resetting your talent points does remove the spell, it is only when you click to spend the point for Faerie Fire that the bug occurs. When it occurs, you keep your talent point as well as gain the spell Faerie Fire.

Normally, it would take the talent point when giving you the spell, and it would give you all 5 ranks of Faerie Fire (Feral)


I think if the spell were reprogrammed to give you ranks 1-4 it would work properly.
