Unable to connect

I have installed classic anc tbc and then patched up to 2.4.3 (8606) as said in one of the stickies, but when i try to login, i get the same message:
"Unable to validate game version. This may be caused by file corruption or interference with another program". What should i do?
(I deleted the 'realmlist' file and replaced it with another one with the same name, but containingthe realmlist of smolderforge server)

Also, can this have anything to do with the fact that each time i enter wow, i have to scroll down 3 license agreements or whatever are those?

Are you sure the file is called exactly "realmlist.wtf" and not "realmlist" with no extension? You made it sound like you didn't have an extension on it.
