[Bann Appeal]

Post by Jonas888 »

Account name:
Jonas888.

Banned by:
Toast.

When:
8-2-10 ~ 21 : 00 server time

What did you do to get banned?
I used Levitate to walk sideways on a mountain (bug even on retail).
As I have never considered it as a insane hack/bug abuse I didn't think much about it as it's not the type of spell that instant kills a player (unless you use it on yourself and anticheat system strikes in ;-) ).

Anyhow I had no idea it was bannable as I've never seen it been announced, written on the forums etc that it's a bannable thing to do. And as it's so bannable, why have it not been removed? Because the spell was left to all players of course I would use it, like the paladin's who use the Cleansing-talent (I don't see them get banned).
Point is I have never heard/seen that using Levitate to walk sideways on mountains was a bannable offence and I did not even get a warning.
At once Toast talked to be saying that it was bannabe and he seriously decided to bann me I started appoloogice immediately and told him I had never hear it was a bannable offence. That I was unaware of it seem'd unimportant to him.

Why should you be unbanned?
If I had been told from the start that the spell used in such way was bannable I would never had done it, maybe not even had it on the spell bar! I love this server and it's community, I would't ever do anything I knew would get me banned from this server, ever!
As early as last week I decided to donate 20$ to not only save time gearing my shaman, but also give the server the money it deserves from my opinion (deserves a lot more, but I'm on a budget ;) )

I yet again apologizes for what I did and I feel stupid for not knowing it was a bannable offence.
As Toast didn't give me a second chance (any chance at all rly) I hope anyone else can do :o

Sorry if it seems I was a little harsh, but ALOT of people have been bug abusing, hacking etc lately and It's been winding me up a lot.

I said BEFORE the event started any "exploiting wall bugging" etc will have you removed from the event. You knew for a start you shouldn't have been up there also, it's not possible in retail to get up there, I'm confident that it's a server bug.

Exploiting on top of walls in an event where the objective is to hide is unfair on everyone else playing fairly. Considering people win items and mounts and titles etc for winning events I think it's really unfair that you use levitate to bug up on top of a mountain.

As I tried to explain to you I missed the part where you wrote that most probably because 40 ppl at same location = spam :<

I am fully agree'ing to what you say about how it's really unfair, but as said I had no idea it was a bannable offence and as I missed your "exploiting wall bugging" etc will have you removed from the event." I grave myself a deep grave without knowing.

However I am fully accepting the bann. - Unless it's lifetime? o.O I seemd to be AFK when you banned me, so I don't know how long I'm banned for :o

I recorded the whole Event, so I'm going to go through it and see what I was doing when you wrote the " "exploiting wall bugging" etc will have you removed from the event. " part.
(Btw, if you said exactly that why were I also banned? Instead of just removed from event.. man GM's hate me :<

Ban appeals should be written to me directly since I am the one who handles unbans.

[email protected] is typically where I direct people to appeal bans.
