Poll: Reduce Player Cap
Poll: Reduce Player Cap
Poll to reduce the player cap to 90 player to reduce lag, however make queues incredibly longer.

Re: Poll: Reduce Player Cap
Yesterday I was in 36 queue and it was a Monday, tho it was Labor day, but it goes by fairly quickly and if you really wanted to play you would wait 10-15 minutes to get in. But this will now cause a lot of people to go afk instead of logging off to do something else.

Well... Tough decision. I'd ask you to keep it, but also I'd like to ask what's our goal and how close are we to achieving it? Our goal being Fiber Optic thingy-majigger. Maybe you should post a donation status or something to show how close and how much we need to get it, because isn't our player cap depending on your interwebz? Also I understand that when or if, we do get the fiber optics, it'll go to the Wotlk realm as well, correcT? I dunno. For sure I'll be donating more in the future but maybe you could raise donation prices and even add more features to donate for. Just a suggestion from a semi-loyal player whom wants more people, and less lag.

We can buy optic fiber right now, the only problem is, it's not available in our area -- yet. Or so they say they are "future deploying" for North Carolina.Imperium wrote:Well... Tough decision. I'm currently paying $25 a month for that internet line. With Wrath it will be 2, making it $50. One fiber optic line will be around $70 a month. Which can hold about 750 people per line. However, I would probably make both realms 300 and 300 or 250/250. So we have reserved bandwidth. If SF 2.4.3 were to never get above 200 then I would lower that to 200 and raise the other, or make room for the PreBC once it comes.
