Can't login - Unable to connect

I can't seem to login, it says connecting and after a while it says " Unable to connect ". I've updated the realmlist accordingly and the config. seemed to be updated on it's own. I've also tried connecting to other servers and the client seems to be working.

Did you download and replace the realmlist we supply from the site? Sometimes people accidentally save it as .txt when they set it manually.

Also, did you get the client from us?

Yep, did just that with the realmlist, I tried with the different clients, one is downloaded from the another private server's website and the other is just a blank plain client. I think this might have to do with the activation of the account itself

Vandeath is my original account and it did not work as well, I'm downloading your client now and will let you know what happens

Downloaded your client, downloaded your realmlist, the same thing.

I suppose your World of Warcraft folder is on Program Files, not allowing WoW.exe to write the realmlist on WTF\Config.wtf which leads to this "Unable to connect" issue.
If that's the case I advise you to move your WoW to Documents.

Just finished copying it to documents, still the same issue persists, I mentioned that config is alright and has the realmlist bit in it ...

Edit Config.wtf under the WTF folder and add this line:

SET realmList "connect.smolderforge.com"
