Why are you so worried about the population at the moment Hen? You 're currently in one of the phases were top population at night is 15 on the whole server anyways, this is probably a good time to try removing SWP, considering at least 70% of the vets who keep the server alive hate the fucking gear. It ruins too many aspects of the game. You'll never know what it does to the population until you try it. I'll definitely come back and I'll be bringing all my old friends with me if I can.

If you think you can solve it with a system like that, then you don't understand the problem.

This is not a method to solve the problem immediately, this is a method to begin devaluing the gear which in essence will possibly make it easier to remove this gear from the game once its value has diminished in time.

I'm going to try to take this as a process instead of all at once. When we simply removed shoulders and weapons from SWP back in 2011 the outrage lasted up to about 1.5 years. We did it abruptly and upset a large number of people. I want to go about this slowly to allow transition. People are still going to be upset and pissed, but taking it slower may have better effects that a drastic alteration to the environment.

I was unaware people still used this. It's part of the old SF site which I don't want accessible anymore. It could be integrated into the new one in the future, I just didn't think anyone really used it.
