also, I would not mind if SWP gear was removed, or even if arena gear was removed. I'm neutral in this argument for loot tables and gear, because either way its the same game and same server

I just find it funny how only you, Deems, Imperium and Cube dislike the SWP gear, should he delete the gear just for you guys? Or maybe he should host a seperate private server just for you guys? Also how else you wanna keep Smolderforge attractive if not even all the gear is available? By adding new content and that is what Henhouse did with Scarlet Citadel. He made new content available.

The way I look at it is this: we've been around for 5 years, and we're a funserver. You may argue it's better to involve more grinding, more working, more progression (which has been increased by 500%+ in the last few years), but the fact of the matter is this is not a blizzlike server, nor should be one. Smolderforge is what it is, and you have to accept that. Arguments to make players go out in the world and farm progressions is no more of a suggestion than having people level their characters to 70. Things have been this way, and changing them would alter the server in general.

Are we supposed to never offer sunwell? We have many times in the past, and one time we wiped the shoulders and weapons and started anew, reserved the sunwell for ~1.5-2 years and made it become rare and exclusive again.

The Burning Crusade 2.4.3 ended in October 2008. That means no more new content, raids, tiers, or arena seasons will ever arrive. I do these things to continue keeping Smolderforge fresh, in the best way I can, and believe me --- 5 years of this should not be fresh anymore, but somehow, we make it fresh again. Who knows what we'll change in the future, but so many things are custom from the get-go. Just because not everyone had full S4 and/or SWP on retail doesn't make transmog, professions, teleporting NPC, resetting cooldowns, potions/soul shards/food that stack 250, pet mall, auto-learning spells/talents ANY less custom. They're all a part of the server and whether you like or disagree with one or not is your opinion, but that's the way things are, and have been in the past. If we've made it this far now I would like to think we've done some things right.

That goes the other way around. Have every single piece of gear and all professions with all recipes/mats for free in the mall. Everything that was available in 2.4.3. Make unlimited transmog free while you're at it. Why don't you introduce glaives as well? Reinstate flask of petrification? I mean it's a funserver, right?

But as I've said before, I really don't care much for the changes. I think they're beyond fucking retarded, and that the same effect that you're trying to create could have been reached by other means. You don't agree, and that's fine. Fak is partially right, it's subjective, and have always been, even though he seems to have a hard time understanding that himself. You chose to cater to a specific target group, and that's fine. There are other servers around that caters to mine, so it's not like it's the end of the world.

Edit: Might clarify this as well, since it doesn't seem like it's clear enough. What Seret meant when he said "The extreme presence of SWP gear on SF got nothing in common with TBC experience", he meant that playing on SF doesn't feel like playing TBC, funserver or not.
