What is the future of Wrath?
Re: What is the future of Wrath?
lets not start a flame war guys.
back on topic:
if gear is the major issue, why don't we lower prices or ramp up the quest rewards. That way, we can attract more players to our server via, this deal, and we can also have the population gear up so that bg's will have a lower gear score difference.
I'll agree skill > gear, but bare in mind we have a variety of skill levels in populations.
*EDIT. With the double quest reward and stuff, we could have like an event where we'd have like double quest reward weekends..or something.

do you realize, no really, do you know how much of an advantage T10 and Wrathful are over Furious/Relentless? It's almost like warglaives in TBC, except everyone can have this gear.
I think the prices are fine. Nothing needs to be tweaked. I get so much hate because I'm a donor, you've no idea. I think the gear should do that. Cause hate. Because not everyone can afford it, and not everyone can earn it. It has that status. You're either loved or hated for it, and it should stay this way.
I really, really, really dislike the thought of seeing everyone wearing Wful and T10. Really.
I like the idea of events though, but, the server population just isn't that great right now. Although, we did see an increase of about 30~ players, which is awesome.
What I think we need is a way, or incentive to get players to queue for battlegrounds, and arena.
The alliance are overpopulated by a long shot. That needs to be adjusted too.
Re: What is the future of Wrath?
youre biased. you already have the gear and you dont want others to have it because its fun to pwn people you out gear. its better for everyone to have similar quality gear rather than having a few people in gear thats two tiers above everyone elses. in tbc being a donor was not this big of an advantage because in relative terms the jump from s6 to s8 is much much more significant than s2 to s4.Imperium wrote:you shittin' me with the dropping prices idea?Hardlight wrote:lets not start a flame war guys.

Re: What is the future of Wrath?
we are right now in competition with other servers. we need to give players incentives to play! if we like a deal on certain days like
1.5x reward weekends, or 5x drop rate wednesdays...just something that will attract players on certain days from other servers. Eventually players that visit on those days will gear up slowly and have the "lock in" factor play into role.
iunno. it's just to promote players to do certain activities on certain days.

I do remember sayin it's a status symbol and only a handful should get such powerful gear.
on the other hand, you can donate for it. the price needs to be slightly higher because of that status effect. therefor, it keeps that feeling of being very powerful.

Re: What is the future of Wrath?
so your logic is that fewer people having the best gear is a good thing. then why not make the donation $30 or $50. that way even fewer people would have it. i could understand that mindset if you were earning the gear but youre buying it. i dont think the money cost should be changed but the badge cost of items should be lowered least until there are more people on the server. as of now the only way to get the top end gear is to buy it because theres not enough people to get regular raids and bgs going.I do remember sayin it's a status symbol and only a handful should get such powerful gear.
